I got this from "freak" over at ULTIMATESNOWMOBILER.COM. He said he ran 6.46@102 in the 1/8 on his first run. Second run was 6.42@104 in the 1/8. All stock yamaha clutching and gearing. With tar ski's, track and rear suspension only. :4STroke:

I wasent sure what you were talking about at first Melrosemafia, but now i understand lol yea those numbers on any 1/8 mile asphalt track for all stock are very good indeed, better than very good great numbers,i have some friends that have been at Oxford Plains Speedway here in Maine running for years that are only in the 6.5s at 102 to get both good ET and MPH is very impressive, its like jeffs turbo getting both 170 mph topspeed and track ET 7.97 togeather they mean so much more,as does this new apex running 102 and 6.4 awsome combo thanks for the post,i hope it was not just a fluke, and they can back it up,that will shut up the na sayers!!!! ;)! ;)!

Ya the new apex ran 6.46 @102 and 6.42@104 so i guess he backed up his numbers,i will find out who he is sense he is running at Oxford our near by dragway 1/8 only, and i know alot of the guys there,so i will post what he did with in reason ie what track, suspension etc. he did say all stock clutching and gearing, except they took off the reverse gears, this is way cool guys, iam stoked now wow thats quick and fast in the 1/8..... :4STroke: ;)!

the guy was KEITH WOOD of WOODY'S YAMAHA first run on sled was 6.485 at 102.69 with a 60' of 1.442 and 330 of 4.116 at OXFORD DRAGWAY 1/8 MILE :flag:

I really hope thats a sled fresh out of the crate with all stock components.
15 x 121 track and stock susp.

If it is those are some impressive numbers.

For comparison thats faster than a fussion or a zr 900 and some MACH Z'S

I'm a little hesitant to belive WOODY'S would bring a bone stocker for fear of poor performance. They race sleds to sell sleds, the better they go at the track the better they go out the door. I will have to go to OXFORD to look this sled over myself before I belive those numbers are from a sled fresh out the crate.

I got those numbers from my uncle Lawrence Stiles, who has a very fast SRX, and has run at Oxford for years. His SRX has never put numbers like that on the board, that's damn fast for a brand new sled in August, right out of the box.

hey wolfie,
I have seen your uncles srx run 9.99 at 119 at new england dragway in the 1/4
and i have seen it run 101 at OXFORD. It went 99 with me on it and i weight 250. Your uncle is the master. I have also seen that srx run 123 on ice on a stalker, wicked fast 700. you gotta bring 180+ hp and your (A) game to get around that sled. Thats why he still has it.

I read on another site that they just uncrated that sled on Wed. Maybe Wolfie can confirm this?

The word now is woddy had his 10.5 track under it,so it had to have skid to match,so it was not stock, still good numbers but you can add at least 3/10 to the ET and subtract a couple mph off the speed if it was all stock. Its kinda to bad i think most of us would have liked to of seen the real world times w/stock 15" rear skid and track to be real world that most of us will be using,oh well. :ORC

You can run a stock skid with some modifications with the 10.5" track. This is the same setup that Woody has in his 05 RX-1 as well (stock skid with 10.5" track). Good job Woody, I'm sure there's more left in it!

Point is if they are running this already... Once they get some time on the machine it's gonna fly.
That's what my original post was refering to. Here it is mid august on an 06 sled with all new ergo's and geometry, and they knocked off some good 1/8 mi numbers. ;)!

Those FI sleds are going to be sweet. Very good numbers already. Although, probably hard to duplicate for the average user.

He, my brother and I bought 3 of those 2000 SRXs that year from Reynolds, ours never ran like his though. You're right, you need some serious steam to get around that thing. And that's also why he was so impressed with that Apex, because up to now, no RX1 was anywhere near his SRX, and this one is turning faster times 2 days after it came out of the crate. I don't get to ride with him as much as I'd like (I live in CT), but I did get up and spend a day on the lake last winter with him in Poland Springs ME. My RX hit 114, and he was clocking 122 that day on the ice.
