Hesitation with Excell Exhaust

I recently installed an Excell Exhaust. When I nail it at lower RPM's it hesitates or stumbles, and also makes a popping sound. I also have the CR10EK plugs. I tried adding fuel using the procedure with grounding the pale green wire and changed the adjustment on the display. I have it bumped up to +12 on each cylinder and still have the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

+12 should be enough. does it still do this after its fully warmed up? Eric

I believe "BlueByYou2000" is running Excell exhaust with fuel adjustments. May be he can help you out..

mine did the same exact thing. hit the throttle and it burped. did this all day long. took it off and now hesitation is gone. was all stock w/ excell pipe. i dunno what was going on?

Hi Mrance, you'll need a fuel controller, the Boondocker is the only we have been really happy with, so you can add fuel for acceleration.
Your just to lean when you open the throttle bodies at low RPM.

Dynoray, where can I get the Boondocker, how much and what adjustments do I need to make. I'm sure I would need to know when to add the fuel and when to remove it.

Mark, this is what I told you on the phone last night. You need more fuel. Period...BBY

Matt I do plan on getting some kind of controller. I posted this topic on Sunday before I talked to you last night, thanks again for your help.

I'm interested in an excell exhaust so I've been following the thread but I'm a little confused. Was the burbing on the original post caused by the fuel adjuster he added to his sled? I don't think I'd be interested if I had to add a fuel adjuster to my sled to get the proper performance from the exhaust. I'm sorry if I'm missing something here.

I would also like to know if a fuel controller is nessacary. I have an excell exhaust sitting in my room, now i wondering if I should install it or not.
I guess my question is can you just run the pipe?
