This is the can for the turbo version the bungs are located in the tube just passed the turbo. I do not think this will work without modding the stock exhaust. I don't know if MPI has a can for a non boosted sled

If you've got a miss at wide open throttle are you sure you are not hitting the rev limiter?
Also MPI does not have a can that will fit onto a stock sled. The muffler they use on the turbo sleds becomes pretty loud when run on a stock sled because the turbo is not there to help quiet it down.

Just before I pass the camera you will hear it I am just pinging off the rev limiter - it is not a miss the gauge rpm may say 1 thing but the rev limiter is in real time

I believe Mr Ulmer told me you never want to here the rev limiter. My dealer added 3 grams per arm on mine because of this.

Will this change that much over stock? The stock Viper needs a lot more than 17 hp to even compete with 600 class sleds!
I thought I read that the LTX was .2 seconds faster at the Old Forge Shootout than any other 2 stroke and .4 seconds faster than the closest 4 stroke.

Ok thanks. I just didn't see it on their site. I see in your post you have a hindle slip in. How is it compared to stock? Is it much louder? Hindle is really close to me, and I have always been happy with the quality of their mufflers.Nytro40th said:D&D racing carries there own mufflers.Ehlett said:Who carries the d&d mufflers?

I like it very much. Its has a deep throaty sound without being obnoxiously loud. It is a quality built item, it is lighter than stock and you have access to the chain tensioner. I have received quite a few compliments on the sound. D&D has there muffler available I believe but it is not on their site yet.
