I am done with the tuner skis. only complaint is they require way to much effort steering.

for those who have changed to the tuners, are you liking these skis and do they require less turning effort?

I would consider cat procross skis, (not sure of width or model number) or pilot 6.9 ( do you use a single carbide with these)?

SLP mohawks would be good, but are very pricy at $700.00 CDN

I bought Pilot 5.7 with 4 inch stock carbides on the outside and 6 inch Shaper bars in the middle. No darting and the sleds rails the corners.

Yes throw those dangerous Tuners away.

Curves with Woodys SJ Doolys work really nice. No darting, carve pretty good and steering is easier then Tuners.

Today was first time out with curves, trails were hard packed with 1-3" of meal as day progressed. Big difference from stock!!

Can't wait to try them on trail with lots of fluff. It will be great to have control in snow,UNLIKE tuners they do not steer at all in snow...

So yes, much more control and much smoother steering. No negatives with the way they work so far.

Do you have a part number for the slim jim doolys that fit on the curves?

I have a pair of curve skis and find them hard to turn even with limiter strap out and transfer blocks removed. Spoke with Cody at Curve today and he will be testing winder late this week and will have best options.

Have you increased center shock pre-load and gone to last hole on the limiter strap, it helps 4sure. Still think Tuners are schite though.

Yes...I still find it hard to turn.

I do not have that right now, but could look in garage for discarded package that they came in later on, like a couple of days!

I could not find anything on woodys site concerning their Slim Jim Doolys for curve skis!!
But when ordering the Curves from my Yamaha dealer it was listed in his catalog, choices being 6 or 8" carbides.
I did notice a choice of 3 sizes on the package though, they list 4 -6 -8"

Just curious. I've never been a big fan of the woodys doolys so my question is, do the Curve skis dart with round or shaper bars?

Slight bit of tracking on the Viper. I have not yet tried the new asymmetrical rubbers though.

Looks like Curve is confused and constantly changing their hardware pkgs. I'd be curious to have someone with a Sidewinder measure the length of the steel axle sleeve once. Sounds like maybe with the Tuner 3 they may have lengthened it back to what it used to be.
