How Many Miles On Your Sled This Season?

2445 miles so far, hoping for 3k with one trip left weather permitting, which is a personal record for me. Usually only average 1500 per season and it took a lot of planning to get that with organizing wife or buddies to get away for a ride. Well this season that has changed, I now ride no matter what, yes riding a lot on my own. I picked up my XTX in October with 775 miles and went over sled top to bottom and then off to ride, now sitting at 3220 miles. It is nice to leave home base and know with Yamaha reliability, and a little preseason maintenance you will have a trouble free day out on the trails. My biggest worry is the riders coming at me ridding like it is a one way trail/personal race course and it belongs to them.
Will plan to attend some TY rides next season to get some group riding and a chance to meet the great group of members we have on here from the best snowmobile website.
Too bad I don't live closer as I sometimes have a hard time finding die-hard sledders that rarely say no to an invitation to ride.
On the flip side, I may be one of those riders you don't want to meet coming towards you....:)

Oh don't get me wrong I ride hard and fast, however I don't hog the trail, I don't drift the corners or look like I am riding way above my ability. When with the wife we used to ride 50ish, now 35/40ish as since she has aged into her golden years, has slowed which is fine with me, a ride is a ride. When with my buddies we ride 60/80ish however always on the right side of the trail. Now when I ride on my own I am extra cautious but do open it up on straights, slow down in the corners ready for the yahoo drifting the whole corner, then seeing me and grabbing the brake for a powerslide with a huge scared look on their face.

Yep, try to stay on my side of the trail. I ride fast - but smart fast, not stupid fast.

Too bad there are a lot of riders out there that do not have the ability to do this, seems to be getting worse each year, or the older I get the more I am concerned.
:dunno:

2500 so far, expected to do another 150 miles. More than usual this year. Did a guys trip 1k miles in 4 days thru Maine

Well, we put sleds on the trailer yesterday after our last ride of the season, 3,200+ miles this year. What a great year. 3,000+ in da u.p. and 200 below the bridge.

Heading to the UP (Bay Mills in Brimley) on Saturday for one last 4 day ride, hoping to ride at least the 555 miles to cap off a 3k mile season.
