100 is probably about right. Try a 150 shot and I'll meet you at Lanzi's next year to try it out...lol

Going to talk to Holtzman about going for 150 hp soon! Of course I will retorque the head first (just like we do on turbo/supercharger sleds).

If you can take out 2 degrees of timing +2 for every 50hp then I think 150hp hit would be feasable with race gas and a wet direct port fogger setup. I think head studs would be a must.
150hp + 6-8 degrees of timing removed total.

Terry, from what I have seen, 270 + hp on stock injectors with supercharger or turbocharger, but I haven't dyno'd that myself! I know at 160+ hp we were at 53% duty cycle of the injectors.
Blown14psi, I can pull out up to 10 degrees of timing and also move the rev limiter wherever I want it. So I think I'll be ok with that. I don't think head studs is a necessity, I do believe proper torquing on the head is. Just my .02!
If you guys see a Apex getting parted out by me in the classified section, you know testing went bad and it's too expensive to fix! LOL!

Allen,
Talk to me about raising the rev limiter.... I am really interested in doing that on my Apex. I want to run 80 - 100 shot but don't want to colmpletely clutch for that shot if possible. I would like to raise rev limiter to 11,500. Is it possible? How? How much $$$? Is it safe?
Thanks, Wayne

If you go to our website http://www.ulmerracing.com and click on the Powercommander button it will give you the information. To move the rev limiter and be able to have adjustable timing you must use the Fuel controller & Ignition controller together. The fuel controller will work by itself, but the Ignition controller is an add-on for the fuel controller that allows for up to 10* of advance or retard in the timing. This also allows you to fill out a form which you fax or email to Dynojet and they will move your rev limiter up higher as well. I have dyno'd at Dynotech to 11,500 rpm without any issues. I have not tried going higher than that yet though.

Allen,
Is it possibly for the ignition controller to work without the Power Commander fuel controller? I am very interested but I already have a Boondocker controller with my Boondocker Nitrous. I really don't want to scrap that system and start over. Esprecially since it is now tuned in and paid for!!!

Wayne, the Ignition Module must be used with the Fuel Controller. The Ignition module plugs into the stock harness in 2 places and then also into the Fuel Controller. For Holtzman type systems it's perfect as the Holtzman doesn't use a fuel controller, but for the Boondocker it won't work unless you replace the Boondocker box with the Powerocmmander unfortunately.
