Hi Guys, I just finally parted with my SRX 700 and moving to the old man Venture GT touring so that my wife and kids can ride with etc.... I have a line on one ( my neighbor ) with about 4oo miles on it, pretty much perfect shape. What should one like that sell for or what would be the highest I would ever want to pay for one?
Thanks
Thanks

Ok, I spoke to him tonight, got him to $6700. Seems like a good price to me. Can anyone weight in if they have an idea, I just don't know what these things are worth. Thanks.

My opinion is that's a good price, especially with only 400 miles... hasn't even been broken in yet. Have a look online at classified ads for the same sled. It should give you an idea of what the going price is.

Thanks, yeah I think I am going to buy it, I looked around and there really isn't much for sale that compares. I hope it works out, its a beautiful sled. Anyone know if they are still pretty quick despite their size? Will they do 100mph? I ride single up most of the time, so hopefully with a suspension adjustments and simple upgrades it will handle the trails well enough to keep up.

Snap that puppy up! I've got an 09 that's had some love shown to it (MrSled owned it), and I love it! Good power, fantastic ride, and with a little setup it'll handle well too!

Yep, called him this morning and said I would take it. If you or anyone else have advice on an ideal setup for a 190 pound guy, let me know. I would sure appreciate it. I mostly trail ride, but many state trails in MN consist of a fair amount of ditches as well. I will be trying to keep up to a 700 Viper and a 700 Polaris Edge. Probably a tall order. I also had a 2011 Polaris touring 600 LXT and put dual carbides on the front which made it handle really well in the trails.

The front spring, around the shock in the rear suspension, comes set for a 1000lb passenger.
If you want to actually steer this sled, back the adjuster nut way off until there is almost no pressure on that spring.
This will put some weight on the skis.
Put "SNOW TRACKERS" on the skis, and you won't need power steering.
I've been riding 4 stroke Yamahas for 8 years. I put on 3000-4000 miles every winter.
I've only seen 100mph twice on my speedo in all those miles, and trust me, I've tried lots!

Wow, a little stiff then.... I will certainly do that. As far as the snowtrackers, is there a certain length to purchase or are they all one length on those?

Sorry about the late response, but I see you got the long ones. That's what I run. 6000km last year, and they still look greatWow, a little stiff then.... I will certainly do that. As far as the snowtrackers, is there a certain length to purchase or are they all one length on those?

Yeah that's pretty high, I know I got an extremely good deal, partly because it was my neighbors and he is fairly well off. Have seen others for sale in the mid to high 7's with 3-5k miles.
