I have tweaked this FX suspension ( as recommended on this site) to make it corner better, and it does. Now the problem is how do you keep the back end on the ground. In the medium moguls 1-2 ft... the back end is all over the place. I have tried "heavy" setting on the spring and 7 clicks out on compression and "medium" setting on the spring with 2 clicks out. I think the problem is lack of rebound dampening, I am either bottoming out or bouncing off the trail. I am 220 # dressed and I think I need to stay with heavy on the spring but it bounces all over the place. Also I have the new 08 link set up.

Revalve the shocks, that's your only real choice. That's what I've had to do along with most others that ride their sleds through anything remotely rough.

did you revalve all of them or just the very rear one. the front end seems pretty stable right now, but the rear is out of control. my sxr would break your back but it stayed straight. I would like something in between. Who do you recommend for the revalve ?also did you just change the rebound valve?

I did both of the rear shocks. I had Shock Therapy here in Michigan do mine. $120 for both revalves, which included a rebuild on the center shock because I blew it apart. Since you are in upstate NY though I think Hygear might be closer. I've bought stuff from them, but found them to be a little pushy in trying to sell me a bunch of other stuff I don't want. Other than that they do a good job though.

last sunday i managed to get thrown off the snowmobile. i hit some moguls at the bottom of a small hill and ended up face down in a snow bank. i thought maybe it was my mistake but the sled really seemed to be out of control in the bumps.

ya the sled really needs rebound setting on the shock.
heres my setup. i weigh 180 lbs. i ride pretty hard. the #*$&@ end does still buck but its better then stock.
heres my changes.
1. shimmed the rear bumper of the skis. made a huge diff in darting and reduction in sled hunting all over.
2. went one hole tighter on the limiter strap
3. medium setting on the blocks
4. loosened center shock preload just a hair after limiter strap adjustment.
5. went one click harder on compression on rear shock.
6. for the skis i forget where i set them and my sleds at the shop getting fixed once again.
i bought this sled from the dealer though with 700 miles on it. idk what adjustments from stock they made, but my settings were adjustments from whereever the sled was setup when i bought it. im not sure if they left it setup stock.
i feel you though, i myself am either bottoming out, or the #*$&@ end in bucking in certain moguls. other moguls man it really rips. just depends on the specific mogul.
i also have the 08 update in mine, however from 07 to 08 i notice no real diff, if anything it possibly bottoms more with the 08 kit in it.
i got thrown off once myself and thats funny u mention the SXR because that was my last sled and it didnt buck me off either although it did suck horrible in the rough.
surprisingly though that ski shim mod helps the sled stay in line thru the rough a lot compared to without the shim there. now if it bucks me it atleast stays straight, before sometimes the #*$&@ end would buck and go a foot to the left or right. the front of the carbide just dig too much without the shim, it makes the sled downright dangerous
i agree the front suspension does a good job. ski lift could be a little less however, but its much better with my setup then when i first got it.
