I can share that I installed about 200 of these on my 129 inch track and was impressed with the scratches left on my garage floor as I loaded it into my trailer. I think this will grip nicely on hard pack or ice.
I look forward to on trail testing once we get snow.

Hello Mr.Sled,
I am curious what your thoughts are now with the IGRIP studs? You mentioned you were going to do other sleds? You were also looking at a different product for taller lugs? I run a 1.75 Backcountry. Looking for a little something for those few times when I find icy conditions.
I have them in my 1.75 Back Country on our 2018 Apex and I am installing them in my 1.75 back country for my Super Charger Build.

Used a very similar product for 3 seasons on a 144 long track about 8yrs ago.
They work well for the added traction in certain conditions( just enough).
Excellent option for someone that doesn’t want to stud a track but wants a little more grip.
They were I think called TRAIL GRABBERS. Sold by Scott Bergstrom.
Identical concept as Igrip.

It screws in for sure just like Bergstroms but is way Superior not even in the same realm. I have also used them from Scott many time and would never use them they way I run these.

I'm pretty interested in these. Does anyone have any input on throwing them out of the track? The reason I dont have studs, is I worry about putting one through my heat exchanger.

These will not toss and stick in anything, they are too small and only good for moderate traction and will not work well in all tracks.

Any chance using these on a 2017 XTX? I got the stock 141" 1.6" lug Camso Cobra track and would like a bit of security for icy spots and frozen lake crossings. I'm familiar with the product, but I'm concerned that the lugs aren't thick enough. Here's a pic of the igrips next to my lugs. Seems iffy at best.View media item 1766That's an ST24R.

That track is very iffy to me. I think the cub design is too narrow. You can contact Igrip and see if they have a recommendation. I have installed them in a Rip Saw and Rip Saw II but they have to be perfect in the center and be gentle on the throttle in marginal snow conditions or they will tear out.

I was going to ask something similar as my riding buddy bought a used 18 Doo renegade back country 146"x1.6"x15" that was a rental up in Houghton, anyhow the track was supposed to be an ice cobra with the pre molded studs, but it is neither an ice cobra or a non studded cobra, it's a cobra track with the hole's already in it to accept the studs and camso won't sell him or the dealer more than a few replacement studs which is bs, hopefully these Igrips will work for him.
