This isnt the cover, but the back case that is bolted to the tunnel. I do agree on your instructions for the cover install though! The crack in question was a bolt that comes through from inside the tunnel. They are 6 other bolts holding it to tunnel and none of the other ones are cracked.The ears on the case and covers crack super easy. The proper way to do it and a pain in the #*$&@ is to start at a 1/4 final torque value and go all the way around in a star pattern, then 1/2, then 3/4, and then final torque.
The cover can get misaligned easily.
