Has anyone installed reverse on a mountain sled? Any problems encountered? How difficult was it? I recalled a thread (before the server crashed) someone in Idaho had a shop install it and they had to change gearing or something. I think Spray might know.
Thanks.

It's a complete kit including a new type lower gear, a new chaincase cover, gear lever, reverse sprocket, beeper and some more small parts here and there. It's plug and play more or less. If it would not stay in reverse when backing out the reverse need to be adjusted. There are a adjuster screw for the reverse gear inside the chaincase. Had it installed in my blue shorty, a few hours of work, no hurry. Needed adjustment because it would jump out of reverse when backing out. With that minor hickup fixed it works great. Should install just as easy in a Mtn.

Sled, bring the reverse to Muni, if you still need help. We can do it in an hour or so, + time for other things...

Re: Installing reverse on Rx1m It Works Pretty Good

The Reverse installed on My RX1 Mountain I would not Live without
It is Not Problem Free and needs Frequent re adjustment so make sure you get fully coached on how to do this. It is Only Difficult untill it is Learned
but in cold and snowy weather best to get familiar in the shop with what
does what to Re adjust IF you Have A Problem.
I Think there May be A Link with PREMATURE BELT Failure and Frequent REVERSE use as I have gone threw 2 belts in a Short Time
I use Reverse A Lot in My Work Filming And Setting Up Gear
Creating Walking Platforms etc. And think the Adjustments could use some simplification but It WORKS ok as Is.
I would Not Have been Brave enough to Install this Item myself It Should Be A Factory Installed Item in My opinion.
