Right now I am in the middle of doing the install on my 08 RTX, I already had all the drive chain hardware removed because I also installed a new track.
And I am to the point where I have everything installed, (jackshafts, chain, gears, case cover etc. And now I am installing the brake rotor and caliper, but here is the problem, when I slide the brake rotor on to the new jackshaft, there is not enough room to get the snap ring in the groove even with out the washer the goes in between the rotor and the snap ring. It acts as if the jackshaft is too short
I have checked and rechecked everything to make sure that it is going together correctly.
Plus my kit didn't come with a floater plug (thats what they call it in the directions) spacer that goes in the secondary to hold it to the shaft. So I guess that I will wait tell monday and give Team a call.
I hope that this thing works good because it is sure a pain in the a$$ right now.

Talked with Team today and after sending them pictures showing how the shaft from the mounting flange to the snap-ring groove is shorter than that of the factory shaft they are going back to the drawing board. I think that the shaft is correct lenght, but I think that the bearing holder is not offset correctly. They are going to work on getting it resolved but in the mean time I sit. Not real impressed that I paid good money to do their prototyping and R&D for them.

They should give you a deal for helping them out with this.

See if this helps you at all. Read the description and look at my pictures. I believe I had to leave a thick washer off to get the snap ring installed.

Thanks Al for the post of the other thread, and I did try to install the snap ring without any washer and still wasn't able to get the snap-ring on.
I have contacted Team and after sending them pictures and discussing options, they are going to revise their drawing on the bearing flange to offset the shaft .080" more towards the chaincase side.
Also Al, I tried to call you yesterday but you were gone to MI for a snow-show, but you answered my question that you had to leave off the washer to get yours to work.
Thanks,
Dustin

I've been going through the exact same issue with my Dad's nytro mtx. Allen, your pics in the other thread shows that you had two washers between the snap ring and the rotor. The parts fiche also shows the two washers (one thin and one a little thicker) Our 08 mtx's only have the thicker washer and not the thin one. If we had both, we'd be able to make it fit with only the thin one. I hope Team makes it right as the bearing flange does need to be offset more towards the chaincase side as Dustin has stated.

We robbed a thin washer and made it fit.

Received the revised bearing flange today and just finished the install, everything fit perfectly now with the new flange. Now snow baby snow!
