soo i did all the boots with a smear of polyurethane then clamped loosly for about an hour then tightened to the shaved spacers. i had to remove my temp sensor to get the 4mm balled allen key onto clamp.... made job a hell of alot easier... but while screwing back in the temp sensor with teflon tape,,, i barely got hand tight then a 1/4 turn with socket and the fuckin thing broke at top of threads.... these things are sooo weak... ive ordered 2 now just in case. While i had the TB off i redid all my vacuum tubes with high temp hi vz green tubing to match TD charge tubes. also checked crack pressure on the waste gate upgrade... its a little high at 14psi, gonna make sure my gage is accurate.

What vacuum lines did you use? I had considered it but I remember back in my collage car days alot off them would collapse on themselves when they got warm.soo i did all the boots with a smear of polyurethane then clamped loosly for about an hour then tightened to the shaved spacers. i had to remove my temp sensor to get the 4mm balled allen key onto clamp.... made job a hell of alot easier... but while screwing back in the temp sensor with teflon tape,,, i barely got hand tight then a 1/4 turn with socket and the fuckin thing broke at top of threads.... these things are sooo weak... ive ordered 2 now just in case. So I've been working my way through this over the weekend. I started with the main way steering bushing install and decided since I had most of the stuff out I was committed but I'm kinda stuck.
-im going to remove the riser and handle bars and remove the steering shaft and bell crank.
-that gives me access to the rack.
-it looks like I need to remove the air cleaner and turbo inlet tube to get access to the rack though.
I do have some ball end wrenches, but how high quality of a file do I need? I have some DeWalt 5 pack that I got years ago. I saw some one put them on a lathe and ground them down.

It's going to take a long time to do with even a good file. Best is a lathe, next best is either bench grinder or hand-held right angle grinder. Belt sander could work too.

If you have a bench grinder chuck the spacers up in a drill and run them on the grinder wheel.
You will be there a while with a file.......

i stuck mine in the vise with a screw bolt through so i could clamp tighter and then used a thin cut off disc and it took 1 minute each... just use edge of vise as straight edge guide., the smearing of thin coat of urethane sealed the boots 100%. with ball end allen key sockets the job was easy, the only one that was hard was pto end because the temp sensor in the way, remove it but be careful tightening back in.... brake easy, i actually have 2 spare now as they were back ordered.

FYI, torque for temp sensor is like 55 in/lbs, ie like 4-5 ft/lbs. Yes, they are fragile.

I just did my 2022 last night. This is the 3rd one I have done so it seems a bit easier but the EPS models seem to be much easier. You can take the steering post right out with ease, just mark its original location. with the post out of the way things go pretty quickly.
Starting with the cowl off, I had the throttle bodies off and the first barrel in the lathe in @35 minutes!!!

What type of material is the barrel? I'm guessing stainless but what type?

I didn't specifically check but I think they're just zinc plated steel.

Very little unless you also have the brake clamped as well. Not recommended. With anti-lag on my setup, I can see about 3-3.5 psi max. But that's limited by the tune.
