is changing sea level gearing for mountain gearing void war

Today i talk to my dealer and he said that Yamaha has a tech bulletin for changing stock 21T gearing for 23T at sea level and if i change by myself like a do, the 23T for 21T it will void my warranty, it's is true ?

Is i'm able to gain the peformance lost by return to my 23T with just CLutching ?

Tundra, ask for a copy of the bulletin. The local dealer here puts the 23 on at delivery. I deceided two go wih the 21 and beat my buddy with the 23 every time. 4-play
