How do you remove the jackshaft from a Nytro. I have the chaincase cover and all the gears and internals off as well as the secondary clutch. I see a small retaining clip on the jackshaft on the clutch side. Do you remove this and then slide the shaft out the chaincase side? I'm looking to change the upper bearing in the chaincase. Thaks.

Remove the two bolts holding bearing on clutch side then remove jackshaft it will pull out on clutch side

Well, that works on an apex but the nytro doesn't have a back half of a chaincase. The back half is actually part of the chassis or frame.

You will have to remove the two torx bolts behind the secondary that hold the bearing housing to the frame. Pull the shaft out the clutch side.

I would be interested in hearing/seeing your findings with the bearings. What year is your machine and how many miles/km on the bearings?
