Last true Yamaha Sled...

Brilliant turbo Yammy 3 holer and electronics shovelled into a cat.......sorry, not a true blue Yamaha. The last clean sheet design tip to tail from the land of tuning forks was the FX chassis, and we all know how that turned out......as usual, had boat loads of potential, but just didn’t quite hit the bullseye for several reasons. It’s still a great platform to build from though.
I thought I loved my Nytro, threw probably $4,000 at it trying to make it what I wanted...finally gave up when I got a chance at a 2018 9000RR last year and the Nytro became a back up. I never rode it after I got the 9000, sold it and picked up a 7000 for a back up and love it. In my opinion the FX was weak, I've had zero issues with the procross sleds and have had to throw no money at them to get them to work.

I had the exact experience with my Nytro XTX. I then bought a 2012 Apex . That was my least favorite Yamaha sled I have owned. Then I went Pro-cross and never looked back

Looks like we got our answer. The TF and the VK's are the only PURE Yamahas left.

The VK540 still has struts and an engine that dates back to 1979. No other manufacturer offers a time machine like this.

I keep looking for a nice clean triple...too much money when they do pop up
The 700 SRX usually lists for 2k to 2,500 with 2 to 3k miles around here

had one here for $700. The owner pulled it into the yard and it lost spark. I almost called but I dont need another project.......

Just sold my vmax with the red top triple today for $700. Had 13,800 miles on it and still just as strong as mile 1. Loved that motor, but the Viper I replaced it with fits my tall frame much better.

They’re at least $3k up in Ontario with really high mileage...and they’re beat to sh**.
I had someone who really wanted to buy mine, from international falls. Probably wanted to resell for the profit!
