My 03 Yamaha Rx1 has been having problems with that split and tapered locking collar that locks the jackshaft in place I have had the 05 update done so it has the nut on the back side to hold it in place last ride the part of the collar that has the threads on it and the nut snapped off the tapered part of the collar, then by the time I realized that the tapered broken section worked its way through the bearing and out the other side leaving no jackshaft support. Anyone else had this problem?
Dad and I have been brainstorming how to fix this and we thought maybe we could get the correct jackshaft diameter and outside diameter of the stock bearing in an eccentric locking type bearing. Any thoughts?

If you come up with a good fix let me know, had mine fail also cracked the inner bearing race. Just caught it in time to prevent further damage.

When you install the new collar/nut set up, you have to tighten the nut on the top gear in the chain case before you tighten the lock nut on the retaining collar. If you dont, nothing will stop what is happening.
