How many have taken long (>200 miles/day) rides with the new seating position? If so how did you feel (compared to the RX) by the end of the day?

Thanks, Chuck G

I regularly did 200+ mile days on my RX-1's and now have done two 160 mile days on my Attak. I actually felt better after the days on the Attak, but I believe that is because of the longer track rather than the rider forward position.

I'm not sure that I am a good test case for you because I never felt fatigued after 200+ mile days on the RX-1 platform. The Viper, now that was a different story.

I feel better riding my apex than i did on my rx-warrior... its easier on the BACK!! sitting back on a old style RX is harder onthe back!

I like the Attak much better for long days. We average 200 ~ 250 miles per day. The Warrior was not bad (heaven compaired to SRX platform). But really effeced me in the tail bone area (tender as hell) the Attack shows none of that.

It took me a little time to get use to the narrower seat on the Attak, but really enjoy how easy it is to slide back and forth over for agressive truns.

Thanks for the info! On last years trip I had no problems with the 05 RX-1 except bottoming out (with carrying my gear on the sled) and I put a heavier spring on over the summer. I didn't change the Ohlin spring on the GT yet, wanted a chance to ride it and break it in first. However spring came early to northern MI and the rain wrecked the trails and my plans.
Thanks

Chuck G

I have 1100 miles on my Apex, including 3 200 plus mile days. Very comfy sled, other than the useless handwarmers/windshield.

The most i have done on my RTX is 160 this season. Felt fine, in fact perfect. We have done a little over 300 in the past when i was riding my viper. Felt fine then too, but i think the new seating position on the Apex will be even easier. This was the first ride of the season and i wasn't sore at all after riding the apex. I usually get a sore back after the first ride when i was on the viper. Didn't happen this year.

i have 1000 mile's on gt riding postion is good alittle sore in knee but i have a bad knee so can't really say it's the sled. have mid sheild not that good wind protection getting the tall one.hand warmers you know about that . wheels gone after 400 mile's one bad front shock. still tweaking suspenshion ride's better than viper i had i thought milage would be better i'm getting about 120 mile's on tank.

night and day difference. My wife cam off the viper(almost unwillingly) and will never go back.

She loves the seating position and is not sore at all.

I put in a 310 mile day the first day on it and only sore from pulling a 1000 gade out 5 or 6 times. Thats a whole nother story by itself.

I agree with the lont track being the reason.. :D

put 214 0n last saturay, on some ruff trails, and the attak really shined. We did around 25 miles boondocking in some deep snow and better ski's would have been nice. All around I loved it, much better then my 03 rx1 and my buddys 05 warror.
