Love the comment by Yamaha...hahaha

Right, BUT MOST BRP customers dont care that much in the sense of a modded sled. They are going after the stock winder. It will be a race. Marc did you ever run the Hurricane antilag on the 240SS tune?
Brp definitely up the power on the 900t but that motor is still a toilet!! Bring back a the 1200 with a factory turbo and tunable and now we would have competition!!!imo

YamaMarc I think some of these guys say they are true to the Blue, but deep down their wearing yellow underware.
I think most are hoping for competition...lol
Like yamaha posted 998 boys are waiting and bring that tippy 200hp pos any we will set them In their place(second place is where doo belongs)....

After 5 years of being the fastest sled, your competition is going to out "doo" you. It will probably be fairly close out of the box but won't be nearly as capable as the winder. Look at the auto industry. The domestic automakers keep going back and forth being the fastest (hellcats, zr1, etc) sled manufacturers will keep doing the same. I guess we just all will keep up the hope that yamaha eventually makes their own chassis and maybe gets some yamaha quality control back in their sled lineup

Seems to be a lot of hate on the Doo and I don't get it. If I was happy running a stock 200 HP sled I'd be all over it. Renegade X is what I'd be buying if I was in the market for a 200 HP sled.

Knowing the 900R is 17.4 lbs. of boost should tell you guys it will be well over 180 HP, remember when the winder came out Yamaha called it 180 also? Some tuners are calling 16 lbs 185 HP, others are calling it 195, so do the math on that. Its going to be more than 180 for certain. The sled it replaced they called 150 and it made 163. It's going to make OVER 190-200 HP, take that to the bank.

My money stock for stock is on the Doo. The Doo is far lighter than a Winder, now add in the weight for power steering and the Winder will be even slower. The apex added #40 going to EPS does everyone forget that fact.

Now as far as adding boost with tunes, the Doo does not stand a chance, full tilt for full tilt. Then my money is on the 998 hand down. At least the Doo won't need the driveline modifications for reliability like the Cat does. For some that is huge. The Cat as we all know is in need of a few things to make it more reliable as not to ruin a trip. I don't get why Cat fails to fix this.

The Doo will be a great machine if you can put up with a rougher ride up front and harder steering. No I'm not ordering one, but for guys that don't like to wrench then this is the turbo for them. Is it going to beat the winder stock for stock, Id say yes. So what, tune the winder up if your butt hurt about that and move on.

The 40 lbs wasn’t only the eps (which I believe was around 12 or so ) they also had the exhaust power valve to get rid of the drone, and think they went away from titanium exhaust also , if my old age memory is correct...lol
But guessing they should be able to get it under 10lbs now .

I am NOT brand Loyal as I used to be. I won't lie, I was a BRP fanboy for years. Will, I sell my TCAT for it? NO!!!!

Well, I'll say it.

I think it's a home run. I'd have no problem owning one of these. My tuned Sidewinder is fast as hell, but it falls short in several other areas.

I'd have to ride one before purchasing one though.

Ya, I think the weight came from the EXUP exhuast on the Apex. The PS was only 6 lbs, I thought.

I live on a 31 mile frozen lake. It is very boring racing anything with a tuned winder. I welcome the fun. 3 guys around here say they are getting a Mach Z. Can’t wait to see and race one. I am definitely going to a 22 top gear and a few more longer studs next year with ms16.

I was a ttrue blue but not anymore, and i think your underware is green. Way to Many Cat lovers in this forum.

Perfect example of what I posted and you took the bait..at.least everyone now knows who the skidoo trolls are

I think it will be close, stock Winder vs the new Mach from Ski Doo, don't think for one minute Ski Doo hasn't already line them up down a lake somewhere over and over again for days on end, we will see soon enough and put this to rest, the blues might need Kleenex i'm thinking.

I would call that a downgrade in the power department if you sold your 998 for a slow doo :D

I was reading some comments on the facebook site that Yamaha made the comment on, not the response I thought there would be in the comments.
