2008 Apex LTX
I've put on about 700 miles on my 2008 LTX since buying this fall. Originally I had a Nytro XTX, but decided the Apex would fit my riding style better. After two trips to Mercer, Wisconsin I do believe I've found my sled! We rode around 160 miles a day, and I'm really happy with the ride. I had the shocks reworked by a guy here in Minnesota, and put on the Barn o' Parts big boy spring before ever riding it. Great ride, and did admirably when we got to the bigger bumps. I couldn't stand up and power through them like I could on the Nytro, but I didn't expect to.

I traded sleds with a friend who had the new Arctic Cat version of the SideWinder. He had owned an Apex for about four years prior. After a rip across a lake we pulled up next to each other and he had a grin from ear to ear. "Damn, I miss that Apex motor!" he laughed.

I may upgrade to a newer EPS model someday, but for now I couldn't be happier! And thanks to this site for all the great info! :sled2: :rocks:

So the obvious question is. Did u guys line em up and run em off?
How was the ride and suspension on the cat compared to the Apex.

We did not. The ride was great, although the rider stance was completely different of course. I preferred the seating position and ride height of the Apex, although if I'd have put a whole day's riding in on it I'm sure the Cat/SW would have won my affections. I struggled with the Nytro in corners, and the Cat felt like it would have been much easier to get used to in that regard. The power delivery was incredible, although quiet compared to the Apex to my ears. I'll keep my Apex, but there may be a SW in my future too.
