2017 Sidewinder LTX-SE
LTX-SE has approx 200kms (120miles) on it and it seems to be burning fuel faster than my LTX-DX Viper did.

I usually got about 180kms (100miles) on my Viper before I started to worry about finding gas.

The last 2 rides on my SW, had me at 1/2 tank after only 60kms (37miles), and ended up using 3/4 tank for only 120kms (75miles).

Anyone else getting less than stellar mileage?? Seems odd, or is it a "Turbo" thing?

Did you note the number of litres added or are you referencing mileage verses fuel gage reading? Just wondering how accurate your fuel gauge is??

If you drive it mello, (how can ya )you will get decent mileage...

Didn't record the Liters I put in, just filled her up as usual. A Doo 1200 ran with me, and he only burnt 1/2 a tank.

As far as driving it "mellow", obviously I'm breaking it in, so there's no WOT runs, nor steady throttle at specific speeds.

I guess I'm seeing if anyone has had "abnormal" fuel mileage.

The first few hundred miles it will be low but it will come up. I am averaging about 12-12.5 miles per gallon. I currently only have about 300 miles on mine.

On my old 99 Phazer...I gave it a helix that if I accelerated slow it would upshift faster than it should...then I would back off the gas ..rpm would drop but mph stayed the same saving gas..if I stayed on the smooth trail...

I see what you are saying.... should be good out of the box...

Breakin in the right way...well that's two of us so far..

Could also be the moving throttle.....breaking it in....I burn a lot less gas on the 407 compared to the 401 off and on the gas.?????
Same theory?

I ran with my brother who is riding my old 08 Apex LTX. At fill up time he put in 14 litres and I put in 13. I estimate after 300 miles that I am getting about 120 miles per tank with mildly aggressive trail riding.

Need to record fuel used vs distance traveled. Only way to be accurate. I haven't burned more than half a tank on my Sidewinder so I cant say if its better or worse than my Viper.

I am getting better mileage on the Sidewinder than i was on my viper. I have to be in the throttle alot less to get to the speeds i want on the new one.

I have a BTX LE with 400miles last night I just ran it to the fuel light on hit 105miles when the light came on that's hard trail miles WOT every chance I get man this thing is addicting!! Checked clutches after 40 miles and a 101mph pull and they were warm could hold my hand on them no problem belt was a hair warmer but looks good so far!! Hoping for a 1000miles and I'll be changing belts before it blows.

Just got back from a ride with a buddy who was riding a 2013 Apex, when we filled up mid-ride, he was $2 more than my SW or roughly 2L's more. I am VERY happy with that. I come from a 2007 attak and was hoping to get the same mileage as my attak which was around 14mpg. I have only 300kms on my SW, so it should get a little better, but I'm fine with 14mpg, based on mashing the throttle all the time on this thing!!!

BTW - 350kms a NO belt dust anywhere. Was easy on it for the first 50kms, maybe that helped.

Still breaking it in, and I haven't had it over 6k yet.

My 2017 zr9k seems about on par with you all, so far it seems like a 11 mpg sled give or take with 150 miles on the clock.
