LTX-LE - Suspension Set up help

How do you know what setting the transfer blocks and cams (whatever you call the triangle things the springs sit on in the rear) are on? I don't see a number or any identifying mark?

They are marked, 2 sides have a 1 then 2 and 3

Well, I did a little tweaking on front and center shocks according to the feedback on this and the other thread. I only softened up the fronts a few threads. The center I stiffened a few threads. Not sure how you guys can count those things! My eyes are getting terrible. Lol. I had to get a sharpie out to touch each one to keep track.
I now see the transfer blocks have #s (thanks to a flashlight. ) I get what you are saying about the triangle cams, but my eyes must be poor enough I could only see variation between 2 sides. So, I didn't move either of those things because I wasn't sure which way to go with them.
As for the suspension in general, I love the way it absorbs the bumps. I'm not sure I want to mess with anything other than the steering effort. Hate to change anything for fear of making the rest feel different. Lol

Has anybody changed there center spring to a 160# I read about it a while ago but can't find the thread

I think that was for uncoupled xtx's. The ltx LE has a dual rate spring.

So I am new too tytalk as I am on my first yammie. Came off a skidoo 15 gage x 800 n loved sled but we all know 2s are not long lived. So I bought a yammie 4s turbo as I'm a guy who likes 160+hp sleds. Had couple turbo cats before the doo n they were fast but not very enjoyable too drive. So I have the se ltx le it's powerful yes.. rides like crap n handles like a school bus. So rather than everyone bashing me because I compare the doo I had too this yammie tell me how you set yours up too be comparable. FYI I've let limiters out to allow transfer blocks on 1. Loosened the front springs too 8.50mm (stock it was 9.25mm) tension on springs. Still got the tuners skis on. Thinking of changing them too 5.7 pilots or curves. And revalving shocks? Which I don't wanna do on a brand new 20k sled. So looking for some good honest feedback please thx

Back of the nuts on the steering post at the top (under the plastic grate) my steering with all the weight of the ski's was really tight. Backed of one revolution and no more resistance on the steering.

I just put a different spring in my LTX-SE.. (have not rode sled with it yet)
Its apparently rated at 135/265 instead of >>>>>> 90/260 I believe to be stock on the SE.

Not sure this even applies to the LE but IMO the initial sit in or sag on the stock spring(SE) is a TOUCH to light which is causing heavy ski steer.

If you want it to handle you will have to change the skis. The tuners are fine for leisurely cruising, but that's it.

I put 1007kms on my new winder in 3 days! Used most of Dan's recommendations. Tuner 6.9's, front spring pressure reduced to nil when jacked in the air. stiffened center shock (about half as much as Dan said) and took out transfer blocks.
I still found a lot of ski pressure so i am going to stiffen up the center shock even more and put the limiter strap as long as it will go and see how that works.

also noticed i was bottoming out quite a bit. going to stiffen up the rear shock as well as my dealer said they come from factor set for a 180lb rider and i am about 205

This is where I am at and its an excellent handing setup:

LTX=LE 220lb rider

Front Suspension

-Compression on 1, rebound 12 clicks from hardest
-Spring tension removed. When lifted just enough spring tension to keep spring seated.
-Pilot 6.9 Ski's with 8" Woodys Executive runner in center, nothing for outboard runner

Rear Suspension

-Center shock on compression setting 1
-Spring tightened to 10 threads showing (may go a little more)
-Rebound factory

-Rear shock on compression setting 2
-Rebound factory
-Spring tension 1
-Blocks removed from transfer rod

Handles like a dream now with light steering.
I'm the same weight and mimicked this setup tonight on mine I'm taking it out tomoro with this setup to experiment I was getting heavy steering and tracking but I'm running usi triple threats skis which seem to be extremely hard to dial in cause here is so many different ways to run them. If I could dump them I would try the tuners out but it seems like a lot of missing to get them to work is it as bad as it sounds ?

I tried my sled with the above mentioned adjustments last weekend. It was a good test since the trails were hard pack (icy base) with a thin layer of snow on top. These were similar conditions to my first couple of rides when the steering felt heavy and my shoulders were fatigued. This time felt different, without the heaviness and less effort. I still have the stock carbides on too. I won't say it rails corners, but I wasn't trying to see how fast I could turn either. Once I get some better carbides I'll try to to push it more. But for now I like the adjustments.

So I got around to testing the setup yesterday on a 140 mile trip in a variety of conditions , lake, packed down trails, freshly groomed, rough moguls. The setup is a lot better I could keep up with the 2 strokes in the twisties without killing my shoulders. But when I let off I would get darting every time just about some times one ski would lift when taking corners while also pushing in the corners. And steering is not light enough to where I feel like there isn't a lot of ski pressure. I feel like a lot of these problems are coming from my usi triple points and a single 9" bar though

did you add the power steering plates the them...if not do so...and run a round carbide
When I contacted usi they do not use or offer the power steering plates on the new style triple threats that was only used on there older designs
