I'm having a hell of a time deciding between the 2.
For me this is how I see it.
XTX (141) pros...
1)Longer skid for off trail
2)Longer lug, no need to stud
3)Fox floats. I'm 170 lbs soaking wet and I can keep the pressure down for a softer ride without worrying about bottoming.
XTX Cons....
1) definitely have to swap the skis
2) more narrow stance
3) I'm not quite sure what to think of these spindles. I usually ride point and I'm always banging a ski on #*$&@ on the right side from staying far right. The spindles look like they are light.
LTX pros....
1) RR skid. My Apex skid has been welded too many times to count and just went through a complete rebuild.
2) Tuner III skis. I'm hoping with the right carbides they will track good enough. I'm a big proponent of Simmons.
3 Fox QS3R. Easy adjustment
4) actually like the looks of the seat better
LTX Cons...
1) 1.25" track. I'm not sure I want to stud it so i I may just put a 1.75 on instead
2) Fox QS3R shocks. Is this suspension just going to be too stiff?
I'm left thinking it's a track change with one sled or a ski change with the other....
