I also have the Cortech sport saddle bags and matching top bag, but never thought about trying them on the Vector. Where do you attach the forward straps? Got a picture of them installed?SounderMN said:I ended up getting Cortec sport bags. They are really designed for motorcycles, but the fit it similar enough, and the quality is very high. Overall the quality is higher than the yammy bags, and cost is the same or a bit less. The lower straps on the cortec bags are double stitched internally, a little better than the yammy bags. But, the top straps have a huge connection, and are sewn in a criss-cross pattern with a pair of wide adjustable straps. The trunk bag has a piece that fits under the saddle bag straps, quick disconnects that attach directly to the saddlebags, plus a pair of bungee cords you can use to attach to the sled. This is a much sturdier setup, for sure. Also, the bags are bigger, and are expandable. They come in an electric blue that really looks good on the sled. I hope they hold up as nicely as they look!
I currently have these on my '06 and they seem to hold up well. link to SMA-8ES73-00-00 I'm not sure if they fit on the DBII models or not.

Hey mbw, could you tell me the dimensions of the bags you have? I just ordered a set of those. Doesn't seem to be any other available to fit the 05 Vector. Thanks Paul

20" long x 12.5" tall x 5" wide. I was surprised to measure the width at only 5", but hey're flexible enough to expand the width a bit if you stuff them full.Paul said:Hey mbw, could you tell me the dimensions of the bags you have? I don't have the bags yet. I looked at them in the store, and think they'll work great. I ordered because I wanted the blue ones instead of black. I will take a picture when I get them.
I plan to get some aluminum or stainless rings to rivet in place on the tunnel, so they are secure. Another option is to use the loops that come with the bags (they have quick disconnects) and rivet them onto the tunnel. I won't know if the straps are long enough that way until I get them.

Finally got the cortech bags and installed them. Also, on the forum I bought a rack. It was made for a nytro but worked just fine. Take a look below. These bags are nice and well made. I was still concerned about the straps pulling out. So I took the to a tent repair shop to have them add better stitches. All three bags reinforced and it cost $18. Not bad!
