Yes that´s a stock muffler from 2007 R1. Sounds very nice, actually the sound is more pleasant to ears compared to stock exhaust, so it seems even quieter now.
I´ll install the muffler better during summer, now it looks stupid. Also I´m going to add some kind of a shield over it, so I can place a backpack or something over it.

Not much of a snow here, so I decided to do something for the rear suspension. It traveled only about 3 inches before coming to a sudden stop.
I've always thought it's the track that's overtightening (extended from 121 to 144) but this wasn't the case. I got a chance to look at the suspension
while my friend was pressing it down and it was the transfer rod that caused the minimal movement of the suspension.
So we cooked up a quick solution:
We cut the shaft and welded a 1.18 inch extension to it. Now the transfer rod doesn't limit the suspension movement anymore and now I have full travel.
On the other hand, I can't do any serious testing yet, since my sled is missing all shrouds and there's not enough snow. Any ideas what could go wrong with this mod?
Weldings WILL hold, they've been made with extra care. I also tested that there aren't any wrong parts touching each other when the suspension compresses.
Here's a pic from today:
My 2 inch lug sometimes rubs against the "cradle" where the original muffler sits, so I'm gonna cut that off. Then I'll cover the hole with an aluminium plate.
I'm also thinking of shortening the pipe before R1 muffler and installing the muffler in a different way. Backlight wiring has to be made and then I will fab an
aluminium shield over the muffler, so I can carry some stuff on the back of the sled.

Sorry for the XXXXXL size pic!
You might think my seat is pretty low? I'm rocking a shortened RX-1 seat for now, before I find something better
I didn't do the seat modification, I bought it for 26 dollars.

I ended up in that position so many times that I had to reroute the oil breather away from the airbox
just to prevent the oil going on top of the pistons. My oil breather hose is coming down by the oil tank
and the oil is collected into a small container filled with absorbent material. Then this absorbent material
can be used as a wonderful incendiary for the fire!

Here's a nice strip about an american man who is visiting Finland and he's been invited to Sauna with Finnish guys.
One guy says "our american guest is feeling a little bit shy, go and talk with him"
So, Heimo and Rape (that's a Finnish nickname for guys named Raimo, Rauno etc) go introduce themselves to the guest.
