I had a viper on my backyard. Unfortunately it wasn't a Yamaha, so I had to let it go. Viper is the only poisonous snake in Finland.

Hm, looks like there's something going on? Trying on the uncompleted running boards, material is 0.98 inch aluminium tube with 0.12 inch wall. Should be strong enough!

Slowly but surely these bad boys are beginning to be ready. Weldings are about to be finished soon enough
and then I'll start to think about attachments to the tunnel. Some ideas are already cooking. I will use screws as grips.

Next thing to do is shorter exhaust, I'll get rid of the R1 muffler. I will also install some plastic inside tunnel to prevent
snow sticking up and of course some other finishing touches.

Definitely strange weather these days. Where there usually isn't snow, there is (I'm not complaining) and where there usually is, there isn't. You'll probably get a good dump soon.
 
So it seems. This has been most frustrating winter so far here in Lappajarvi. There was about 5.9 inches / 15 cm of
snow in here for a couple of days in november, but now everythings gone. It's been constantly almost 50 fahrenheit
and it's raining right now. Sucks big time.
 
Last day of february here in southern Finland.

This has been the shittiest winter ever by far. We had 3 inches of snow for two days and that's it.

I found this treasure a couple of weeks ago. Almost mint condition ET 340 Professional 1986, had to buy it on the spot.

Quite possible that the arctic air has shifted from your side of the world to ours as we are having the coldest winter in 20 years. Even after a two day meltdown, we still have lots of snow. By now we should be above 0C but we are still in -20C!

Sorry about your crappy winter but we've had winters like yours in years past so I know your pain.
