MCX will announce their kit(s) to Viper in Aprill

Word is the viper made over 270 hp at 15 psi and working good from mcx. Should have it out on the snow shortly. This sled is going to be awesome boosted!

Nytro makes 270 at 14.5psi, so it's about the same as expected.

Exactly, my point more or less is that its finished and ready to hit snow later this week! This is awesome for the viper and the people who buy them. No more power worries, slap it on and go as fast as you dare!

Heck yea! So whats the "word" on stock hp?

It's not what the stock Nytro HP was, the header design is a loss of several hp. If you are going turbo doesn't matter...

Has this been proven on a dyno yet?

Proof or speculation? Have you seen the dyno numbers?

Nobody is going to reveal any of this information at this point. Have you heard of anyone trying to compare the new demo Viper against a new Nytro in a drag race? Maybe a clue, just saying..

Having the header in this configuration does not mean it's gunna loose hp...

A clue as to what? It doesn't prove there is a HP loss due to header design. I spoke with Lang Hindle about the Vipers exhaust, while most guys think the bend in the midpipe will rob HP, he said it wouldn't affect it at all.

Unless you have had several header designs on the dyno for comparison, that is just uneducated speculations. Do some reading. There is no evidence whatsoever that a bend with relatively big pipe diameter and big bending radius robs horsepower. The header is designed like this because primary pipe length as well as collector length is much more important than aiming for a straight pipe.
