If you bottom it out, I have heard it will put marks in the tunnel.

I'm running them now (1.450) mega bites with tall nuts. I put a couple hundred miles the other day in less then ideal conditions, ie, washouts, moguls, etc. I bottomed a few times and had know problems. I weight 280 dry, so if they were going to destroy anything, it would have happened. They will scratch the cross brace below the exhaust, but other then that they will not harm my 06' RTX. Just have fun! By the way, excellent hookup with these studs!

1100 miles last season with the 1.450 Megabites and no problems. If you bottom out very hard you may get some scratch lines in the rear aluminum casting (that holds the muffler).

thanks will give her a try
I ran all last season with the 1.450 gold diggers (same length) I added 1/8 x 1" aluminum strips to top of tunnel & front Heat exchanger protectors. The real important spot is the casting area just ahead of muffler. That spot hits 1st. Good luck

I ran 1325 Roetin's the other day which stick out past the paddle 3/8" and did not have a problem. I'm pretty sure a Roetin 1325 and a Megabite 1450 are the same or close

I run Mack studs 1.450 only up the middle, so far only scratch marks on the aluminum plate below the pipe. Had to stiffen up the rear skid after the first ride, it did bottom out a bit, haven't tried it since.

If I would have known that I would have bot them, but I thought you said it would put scratch/gouges in the tunnel or am I wrong.

1.450's last season for 1100 miles with no scratches at all, but sled was setup so it wouldn't bottom out. If you bottom out you will want to add a 1/8" strip to the tunnel protectors.

I've bottomed with no marks other than the exhaust guard at the back of the tunnel...using 1.450s Woodys SS.

Allen, if I put the strips in the front heat exchanger, can I run the track as loose as I want? 1 7/8 - 2" of play @20lbs of pull?
Thanks...

I don't see why you couldn't. With the added protection it shouldn't come close to touching the exchanger.
