I pulled my skid on my 03 rx1 with 11k miles and notice my "y" in my two y-pipess had gotten so hot they melted and collapsed. We run under tunnel exhaust, and I just adjusted my valves. My sled has been running real strong. I also recently installed an electric fuel pump. We run ten other sleds with the same exhaust setup, and I have never seen this. The pipes are totally exposed to snow, and I travel about a half mile on road to reach our snow park........but we always have for the last 8 years with our tons.

Wow looks like its lean to get that hot! They also look like ti pipes not SS are they 100% original to the sled and how many miles? When is the last time you were in there looking at them till now? I know you like to lighten up the sleds with glass packs under the tunnel how long ago was that?

You're not alone. I pulled my 05 mtn apart because the doughnuts were bad (exactly gone) and found my TI Y pipes got hot and melted. They are not as bad looking as yours. I plan on running them until the end of the year (with this weather it wont be long) then change them to stainless.
