I was thinking of using mobile one 0-30 Full synthetic motor oil and 75-90 gear lube. Any feed back would be great. Thanks.

I changed my 06 Attak to M1 at the 500 mile oil change, again at about 2,000 and just did it again June 08 at 3900. No problems here. I went this way so I didn't have to worry about changing the oil in the middle of the season :brrr:

I run it in my car 5,000 miles between changes, the most I ever put on a sled is 3,500/season so I'm good to go ;)!

I put M1 in my motor and chain case at 800 miles. I've never had any problems. I change it every season.
In my car it specifies to run M1 and change it ever 10,000 miles.

Ran mobil 1 in my 07 apex with no trouble.5945 miles in 2 years. Will be using it in my 09 nytro after break in.

I've used it for years...rx1's, vector and apex. No issues whatsover. Funny, no oil burning either.
5w-20, same stuff I run in our Fords. In fact, I run this stuff in everything including lawn mowers, etc. All run great. For years.

And the drained Mobil 1 oil gets used in my chain saws. No bar wear (we have a small lumber business and cut our own trees/logs/firewood) either. Used to file the bar every so often, now there is little to no wear on the edges. But I do have the oilers set up high.

And now the proof...our Lucas Mill has a 27 horse Kohler engine. At the first oil change (100 hours..3 years ago) I put in the Mobil 1. Max governed rpm just before the change was around 3580, as it runs wide open. After the change, the rpm jumped to 3780, and I had to adjust the governor. Pretty impressive in my book.

I have just switched also to Mobil 1 0w30 FS in the wife's attak.

The fact that the walmart is just down the street and the yammi dealer is35 minutes away made my choice. That and the fact that if you do start to use oil - it is much more readily available than yamalube.

I couldn't find any 0W-30 today here where I live in Ga. Not being from up north I'm going to ask you guys if Mobil 1 5W-30 full synthetic will be okay?

Switched to M1 0-30 but need to run this season to compare performance to Yamalube. If simular to my GM Truck & SUV I should pick up 1 or 2 mpg. Yamaha dealer had a fit that I was using M1 instead of Yamalube so left him for another dealer.

Really what did they say, what can they say? I wouldn't think they're making their living selling oil. Maybe since the four stroke take over is begining their realizing that the $8.00 a quart 2 smoke isn't going to be the easy money it used to be.

Are you guys running the normal syn 0-30 M1? Is there a special type for 4 strokes? This oil thing is really confusing. I've used yamahalube S4 0-30 because I got 30% off a case a few years ago. Oil is gone now after this last change and will be looking to change to M1. Thanks

Got Apex RTX : dealer said my Attack would not start @-30F unless I used Yamalube & just got red faced pissed & mouthed off. I took my business elsewhere including my buddie's Rage & he lost $800 in service revenue as my buddy was getting a lot done. Runnings Yamaha had no problem using M1 0-30 for my oil change.
