i am interested in getting the Skidoo mod 3 helmet. Does anyone know if it has a place for speakers like the HJC helmets have?

Not sure about the speakers but I have one for sale. Worn it one time. I know Mr Sled uses speakers in his Mod 3. PM me if interested in the helmet.

It will work. We have the system in 2 helmets both are Mod 2 but I think there is not much difference in a Mod 3 helmet.

Thanks. I went ahead and ordered one. Will see what I can come up with. I won't be able to use the breath box with the Sena com units, but I'm fine with that. I'm hoping this helmet will keep me from getting a brain freeze like my HJC gives me. What a cold helmet!

Not sure which HJC you have, but the pre 2015 models lacked a proper chin curtain. They now have a nice big curtain like the Mod 3.

I have last years model 2015. The problem is right at my forehead. At speeds over 40 mph when it's cold. When it's 28 degrees or over not to bad. You would think the vents are wide open! I wear a turtle fur bacalava. That really seems to seal up the area around my knock. The shield seems to leak air everywhere. Not sure which HJC you have, but the pre 2015 models lacked a proper chin curtain. They now have a nice big curtain like the Mod 3.
Hoping the doo helmet works better. I will try it. Won't be able to use the breath box with the Sena boom. I think the turtle fur should work good with the doo helmet as well as the HJC.

I use the flex Mic.. poke a hole in the breath box and push it thru.. been using it all season that way with zero issues.

So you have the great big chin curtain with yours. It's quite large.

Yes that is what mine has. The cold in feeling is coming at the shield. Makes my eyes water. Gives you a real brain freeze. Right in the forehead. Cheeks get cold as well. I think the air is coming around the shield. Supposedly HJC has a kit to fix it. It's additional foam weatherstripping to go at the top. They are going to warranty my heated shield and girlfriends as well. They are delaminating.

Check out Dootalk for all of the complaints on the Mod 3. It feels to me like a REALLY nice helmet, but the $150 shields building slime on the inside and failing commonly and NOT being covered scared me off.

Well, at this point I'm willing to give em try. Our 2 HJC helmets both have shields you can't see out because the are delaminating and leak air so bad your brain freezes. In the grand scheme of things, 150 for a shield isn't far off from HJC. There's is 110Check out Dootalk for all of the complaints on the Mod 3. We have the mod 3s and demand and no problems. I just put the boom Mic on the outside of the breather box and the girlfriend tucks hers underneath the breather box without cutting it and no problems.

Anxious to hear the results. Like I said the mod 3 feels VERY high quality.
