Any rumors of the nytro 130HP engine going in the Phazer? The rep at yesterdays booth said people were asking for it???

That's not what I mean. I have the Nytro. I know were you are coming from. They said people want the younger sportier look, with the skinny seat, the lighter feel, with the 130HP. They also said people want More stock horsepower in the Nytro. Maybe about 155-165HP. Rumors maybe, but with polaris, and Arctic Cat putting out some power, and Skidoo barking up our butt with the new 4 stroke; something may be behind the requests??????????????????????????????

the nyrto is almost the same chassis with a few minor changes all to accommodate the bigger heavier motor. seat is wider cause u have 3 pipes instead of 2 going under it. the front end is different to take the added weight. the plastics are different for the size of the motor along with the radiator being up by the head light. 90% of the difference between the nytro and the phazer are to accommodate the motor.
 
Why is it that everytime someone asks about getting more power out of a phazer people immediately say to get a nitro? If we wanted nitros, we would have bought them. I really like my sled, but another 20hp would be perfect. My ideal machine would be a phazer 700. Same machine with a beefed up frame and another 200cc. Sitting on a nitro feels nothing like my phazer! I ride moto and I like the riding position and thin seat on the phazer. The nitro seems like a tank compared to the phazer!

dude seriously, not to insult you or anything, but thats all the nytro really is. a beefed up phazer. if you want more power then have your dealer bolt on a turbo.
 
It sounds like they should just come out with another big sled then? If people are asking for more of a motorcross rider forward at the shows, with Big horse power. Why keep changing the models that work? Just try and perfect them? If people want a power house they should make another then. What do you think Sounds like when they beefed up and changed the weight on the 2000 SRX to keep up with thundercats? DUMB Idea or what? It's like when Ford makes the mustang faster, then Chevy would make the Camaro faster. Everybody is trying to beat everybody else at weight, and power. :dunno:
 
I don't need BIG horsepower! I believe the nytro has around 130hp... I don't need that much. I love everything about the phazer. The only reason I want a little more power is so that I can gear it up a litte to get more top end. It would be nice to be able to cruise at 75-80mph so that if we hit the lake or railroad grade I'm not running almost wide open. BTW, if you didn't figure it out my riding buddies have bigger sleds. I don't like the wide seat and bulkier feel of the nytro. Put the phazer seat on the nytro and duplicate the ergos and I'll buy one! Oh, and about the seat being wider because of there being 3 pipes running under it compared to two on the phazer. Well, there is only one pipe under the phazer seat and they could do a three into one on the nytro so why is the seat so wide? Maybe they do already have a three into one on the nytro, there is only one pipe out the back? Also wondering if the track is wider on the nytro?
 
im not saying a 100 hp phazer wouldnt be possible. what im saying is that they can not put the nytro motor in the phazer and keep the feel of the phazer.

the nytro had a 3 into one pipes but they dont join until under the seat. i believe, not sure, that the muffler is also bigger to keep the Dbs under EPA regulations.

as for my its a 15 wide instead of 14. im guessing it has more to do with standardization. people who like customising their sled are more opt to buy a sled with a standard size track so that they can change it to fit their riding style. with a 14 inch track we are limited only to about 5 different tracks we can get, stock rip or hauck saw, free ride, the one from kimpex can remember the name, and then the polaris 04 pro x tracks. there is always the 128X13.5 track but that requires an odd sized rail extension and also some other mods and lose of your outer boggies which will make your hyfax ware faster.

the problem with a 700cc phazer is it is not possible with out a compleat new motor. the phaze motor is so compact that there is no room to make the bore larger. the cylinder are so close that any significant boring to reach the 600 not even mention the 700 cc limit that it would bore into the other cylinder.

will yamaha come out with a 100 hp sled? yea its inevitable when? dont know. what will it look like? maybe something like the phazer but i dout it will be exact.
 
I bet I can get 100hp reliably out of mine.Porting and stroker crank.Waiting for a reason to do it.Like something motor has to come out for.Hasnt happened yet though and I would like better handling before more power since I know my limits and probably would get in trouble!

i may know something about this LaLaLa i figure it would be a +-530cc (with a safe reliable bore no stroker) ported and polished bench flowed, with custom pistons from wiseco, custom reground cam, ported TB larger valves, 5 angle cut seats.

i have already talked to my engine builder that does my motocross bikes(yz 250f) about doing something. he thinks with a grind, port and polish, cut seats, customs valves gains would be 5-10 hp. and would cost around $2-3,000. 4 strokes arent cheap! now if you want anything else YIKES!!! i think a stroker would be an easy $5000!! its like a bike but now double it!

I will fill you in on this next week. I will be getting my Nytro worked on next week. (It is cheaper then you think, not inexpensive, but cheaper) I will get it back on Saturday the 1st. Hopefully if weather is decent, we can try it on the dirt track for kicks. I will find out how many cc's and Horsepower I should be pushing today. At least it will give a realistic idea of what you could get out of a yamaha 4-stroke with engine work only.
