Finally got to put some miles on my new RTX SE!! Didn't get out till late January. But I Just finished putting 800 km on it and i guess reading all the crap about It I worried riding it !! But All I can is WOW what a amazing machine. Smoothest power in a sled I ever felt ! and it's the nicest riding machine I ever rode. I grew up riding polaris triples. owned over 10 of them lol ! Just had the first service done!! belt looks like new!! rollers are perfect. They did the heat shield. I got them install JT 4th wheel kit, studding, tunnel protecters, curve ski's led hand guards. Leaving this alone No tunes !! I got a 2015 cat that has Td stage 4kit that I never use lol.

Blueaway,
Glad to hear you like your sled.
The power is addicting. Not just for the speed but how silky smooooth the power is. After 2200 miles on my winder I will tell you it only gets better.
Yes there is many posts on here that will scare SW owners, but after 2200 miles and I have only blown 1 belt after running at speeds over 100mph for several miles. Never had to put a wrench on anything other than regular service( oil change, track adjustment, drive chain adjustment & swapping to 6.9 pilot ski's).
You have a great sled. Enjoy it.

I was there last weekend. Durham trails were great! we went markdale north to collingwood then over to meaford and owen sound and they were beat to sh!t. then it pissed down rain alllll day tuesday. The trails still show open, but i'd head further north if i were you. The ice drags are on in north bay this weekend. Lots of awesome sleds there and the trails are mint that way!

Never got a speck of rain here....Trails been minty here for awhile now, close to 4 FEET base here now, lakes all mint too. This weekend looking around 32f or so and so trails get beat up fast at those mild temps. Hoping to head to North Bay for speed runs too. Ran 5 consecutive lakes last weekend(well over 20 miles) averaging around 100mph and the 8DN was loving it, 800s all WOT to run with the winder at 3/4 throttle.....man the big power on the lakes is just too fun.

Thanks for the info.
I was hoping to meet up with a buddy in Dwight to ride Saturdag and Sunday. Trying to hit the 3000 mile mark on my winder . But might keep driving. Sometimes 50 more miles on the truck = 300+ miles on the sled.
Yes weekends suck, but someone has to work during the week DAN. LOL.

Two Poker runs here too this weekend....Dorset run is big and trails will get beatup fast in and around LOB/Dorset/Kawagama ect....and Tom mentioned Burks falls poker run too, so that means Almaguin trails(typically mint always) will get lots of traffic Kearney northward around Sand lake ect...Thanks for the info.

The problem will be Mild temps around 32-37f, 10 sleds go through and things get beatup fast at these temps.
Today will be a killer ride Waiting for TOM now(some things never change!) Its a nice temp of 9f and tight currently! Sunny and not a hit of breeze...gorgeous Muskoka day to ride.

Sucks about the closing of 306 and 305. Usually stage up in Emsdale by the airport. At least the D is a quick ditch bang away. Used to run to burks falls for breakfast on Sundays. Won't be happening now those business will hurt. Two Poker runs here too this weekend....Dorset run is big and trails will get beatup fast in and around LOB/Dorset/Kawagama ect....and Tom mentioned Burks falls poker run too, so that means Almaguin trails(typically mint always) will get lots of traffic Kearney northward around Sand lake ect...

Dan,glad someone is running the old stand by 8DN that was going to be my main belt, but have not heard many running it with great results, what do you see for top speed on the LTX-LE now it is boosted?Never got a speck of rain here....Trails been minty here for awhile now, close to 4 FEET base here now, lakes all mint too. Agree....the orig D123 being closed, loved running off the Seguin up Little/Big DOE lakes....into the bottom end of Burks Falls. I miss that shorcut when we do our North Bay runs....I have heard its a small area of land owner isssue, so who knows if we get a workaround maybe?Sucks about the closing of 306 and 305. Yah somewhere just at the bottom of the hill outside of emsdale near katrine where you cross the road. They want to build houses or some sort. Can't get guaraunteed on trail access.Agree....the orig D123 being closed, loved running off the Seguin up Little/Big DOE lakes....into the bottom end of Burks Falls. Have not tested personally back to back 8DN/8JP. But have been told by a few I trust, its 3mph back to back. So IMO unless you are radar running, the 3mph is negligible when you have this much power. So why not TRAIL RIDE the much cheaper 8DN that is longer and seems to hold up better. I will save a 8JP for radar days only, and normally run 8DNs as they just cant be beat for cost, so for peace of mind just swap in new ones every 800 or so miles IMO.Dan,glad someone is running the old stand by 8DN that was going to be my main belt, but have not heard many running it with great results, what do you see for top speed on the LTX-LE now it is boosted?
I find it interesting, that the 8DN when shimmed perfectly....sits Similarly high as a DOO in secondary. Just something to ponder as DOO has run with MORE OD (15%) in their secondaries for as many yrs as I can remember....and they seem to be running longer belts, since they sit high. Now Yammie with MORE OD(for first time), so could the 8jp be too short? Maybe why 8DN lasts longer? I dont know but it sure is interesting.
