Muskoka/Huntsville/Mary Lake Radar runs,bring those apex's!

puddytatman if I had as much time as you do on the phone, internet and on the Holland river with your Mach mine would be just as fast. Do you remember that mine is 150horsepower, yours is supposedly 170 with 144 13.75 studs, every possible clutch part and geared. If I did that I'd be just beside you if not ahead. Mine has 4000 miles with 1.25track, worn out studs and still ran 113. Maybe next year you'll be having a crown royal with me. Don't bring me into the BS because I don't really care!! It is reliable and I can take it out every weekend without a worry. Next year I will have same sled with 8000miles and still running.

:4STroke:

Legend no need to get all upset. You must be getting bored up there with no snow left. All and all great reasons yours running what it ran and it was impressive I will say. As for time I have and parts you being a snowmobile mechanic and working on everything you possibly could including several clutch kits I just thought yours would be faster but that is ok. I know you are not all that interested in speed ...........but then again you did go to the radar run...........oh yeah it was for fun.....or was it to beat up on all other Apex's and the Machs.......no it was for fun with O.C. LOL. :moon: :tg: 4,5,6

Hey guys...thanks for all the kind words about the old warbird...she did ok. Still waiting for back orders to clear so I can gear for more than 1000ft..lol
had a good time on the lake Sunday..it was good to see the Apex's rockin' down the track...nice work on the big # Machzed
...as you probably know Max got a boo-boo late afternoon but it wasn't as bad as it first looked...gonna be on Paint Lake (Dorset area) for a "runwhatcha brung" this Sunday if anyone is interested in coming to play..might be the last week-end before grass season.. ;)!

Hey Dan feel free to pick my brain anytime...Kudos to your 116+ run...I have a little time this week to play with my guinea pig Apex to make it get legs...I haven't seen it since the drags @ South Portage..he just took it with the drag set-up and loved it..it worked awesome in the deep snow loads on lakes...finally get to polish it up a bit more... too bad ya can't make it to Paint Lk...and once again thanks for the 'spect on the dinosaur.. I love those old sleds and I'm just trying to get all I can out of a bone stock motor before I cut it...and as far as my my opinion goes on turb or sc.... think Stockholm

Im really liking the powderlite/alpine turbo more and more....nice peice and if mike knapp recommends it then it must work!....who knows what next season will bring.

Paint lake

Hey Wilf -- Nice to see the Max on the show..I was wondering if Paint lake is just past Dorset on the left hand (east side) of #35 south. Some of the folks would probably like to know exactly where it is. I'm sure the old faithful V-max4 will return with even more power to the snow. Just maybe those taller gears will appear. I'll try to make it with my RX-1 this time. She just went over the 28,000km mark... so well just see how much power is still in the old bird. It will be pretty hard to beat Byron's speed of 112mph. I had that speed only once on a long 3.000' run on Dwight Bay a couple of seasons ago. Anyways.. Glad to see ya posting!! -- Dan

A guy with one ran 143 in 2000 feet in North Bay with a stock motor, 136 trail track, not sure on what boost level he was running.
