when i first got my 4 stroke i thought what have i done. but after a few trip and talking with others about setup i have mine perfect i have found that the ski are ok when the sled is setup. my thought is we all weigh different and all ride different and thats why they need to be setup to the individual. i think it falls on the dealer we get charged for a setup fee they should go through the sled with the rider on it and setup accordingly.

Some bozo at dootalk is saying yamaha is cutting their snowmobile line in 2014. Which oaths reason they aren't innovative and changing things much. Pretty humorous considering we no nothing about the 2012s yet and their release is a month away

thats because at one time, just before the 03 RX1, they were very close to doing it...

It was actually after the 04's were released Andy. There is a faction within Yamaha that wants them out of the sled business.SledFreak said:Comatoast said:Some bozo at dootalk is saying yamaha is cutting their snowmobile line in 2014. They are not getting out of the business of selling sleds anytime soon. They sell sleds to foster brand loyalty -- so you have Yamahas for all of your powersports equipment.

Hard to believe Yamaha has no idea how to set up the Nytro, then they put possible customers on them to demo. The first time I rode my Nytro I was amazed that Yamaha could set something up and sell it to a customer with such a poor base set up, and it sounds like their still doing it three years later.

went to the demos today. rode a nytro xtx, phazer rtx, vector ltx, apex xtx, venture. did not like the nytro way to much steering effort. the phazer was a blast and soaked up all the bumps. i thought the apex xtx was the cats behind the power steering was awesome i was actually over steering it because of riding the non eps sleds. the vec was the best all around sled, and the venture you didn't ride it you drove it, it was the most comfortable most effort less sled to ride. due to my size i thought the bar risers were too tall or at least the bars needed to be rolled back for my liking.
