125km/h on dream meter. Phone I can’t watch but it will give me max speed. And gps is bang on with dream meter.
Wrap is creeping up there. Close to exhaust price. But worth it to have the only Phazer like it out there. I’m certain I’ll be handing down to kids and hate to say if upgrading to a srx or sidewinder XTX In near future seeing how Phazer isn’t being produced anymore.

Very nice. When the phazer came out in 07 it was my trail sled for 2 seasons. I ran a 22 on top. On hard pack trails 140-145 kms was common.

I had also welded a lot of weight to the stock weights to keep the revs about 11200-11300Very nice. When the phazer came out in 07 it was my trail sled for 2 seasons. I ran a 22 on top. On hard pack trails 140-145 kms was common.
That was a long time ago, but I think I added 5-6 grams.

With that 22 what machine was it off and were you able to use the stock chain?
I’m borderline wanting to test gearing. Willing to sacrifice some bottom for longer trail trips. Pretty quick change to get at that gear too.

That gear was custom made. My late father in law took 3/4 wide 22 gear, put it in a lathe and used a hand grinder to grind it down with the lathe spinning! That’s impressive.

As you are probably aware there were no narrow 22's. at least not to my knowledge.

Great looking Phazer. I really like the custom graphic that you had made. A local shop did that for you?

Thanks. Yes. Shop from BC.Great looking Phazer. I really like the custom graphic that you had made. A local shop did that for you?
Front side panels all come precut. Everything from headlight cover, tank, tunnel I had bulk cut. Templated myself and cut myself.
My new cover is in and I ordered the air scoops too. I’ll have to relocate auxiliary lights as the cover wasn’t the best spot. To heavy for it.

Right from Yamaha. Dealer had pile in stock.Where do get the air scoops?
I looked up a 2008 Phazer GT to get numbers.
Easy to drill headlight cover as it’s pre marked. Was hard getting those lil washer lock nuts on tho.

Another update.
-48 here with windchill so decided to tinker on the sled. -51 overnight too. Brrrrr
Anyway. Bolted that excell on today. And installed those 2008 get scoops on head light and body panels as well. So easy, panels primaries on back just drill and mount.
Few issues along the way but tackled exhaust with ease.
Scaled everything to see what weight savings were:
Stock full 22lbs
Excell (packed) mid pipe and my stock cut 9.5 lbs
Stock muffler cut off 20lbs. (Rounded up to be fair)
SAVINGS of 10lbs!!
Scaled Hindle for giggles 9lbs (full system)
Had to drill out my muffler mount cross member (pic) to center the muffler. Otherwise no matter what I did it was offset to the throttle side. So while at it I ported the excel mount to accommodate bigger bolts. Haven’t fired up yet. To cold to open the door lol.

That little roll of one sided gasket I used between the heat shields and frame to minimize the rubbing.
I should also say, mounting this exhaust today with stock header it is absolutely solid. No loose or wiggly side to side movement at all. Be very interesting to see how she hold up. Just hope it’s not super loud. All others I’ve heard on apex, rx1’s ect are by FAR the best sounding, most unique sounding ones out there. Repacking from rear should be a breeze.
Will post a pic later of air scoops. Just redoing headlight screws with the new longer ones and pins. Going to blue locktite them as I always seem to loose one
