Well its been a few tough weeks here, between holidays, the wife's birthday, which we treat as a holiday, and my Mother-in-law going to the hospital again with a scare, I finally got the first production kit going on the dyno yesterday. Sorry it took so long, but family does come first. I have made some slight tweaks to the baseline kit. They are as follows. CPR heavy duty head stud kit, 3-stock Apex gaskets for a total gasket stack of .051" thickness. A Vortech bypass valve ,Thanks Ted, and some additional odds and ends as additional insulation in the heat chimney and the relocation of the oil drain-back from turbo the valve cover behind steering crossmember. Nothing major just wanted slightly more power with pump fuel. I just want to say that the fit and finish is excellent. These EFI machines don't leave much room, and Jeff did an awesome job getting everything just right. Now the power. All I can say is it is very impressive. Fourth pull on a brand new engine, 0 miles, and it went 264 HP and change, backed up with 4 more heat soaked runs in the 264-259 HP range, back to back. This is at 11.8 lbs of boost. Track dyno on the first pull was 144 HP and hitting rev limiter. Adding and juggling weight to CPR super-tune kit, helix and spring twist changes, netted us 148-150 HP to the track, again with 6 consecutive heat soaked pulls. On the track dyno it would only show 11 lbs. boost. Few items of interest, Cyberdyne digital boost gauge is extremely accurate, showing boost in tenths of a pound, it however is slow reacting to dyno, or std. dial gauges, which is fine for trail use anyway, as all you are doing is checking boost. Heat coming off heat vent is very minimal. Water to turbo housing is working great. Not too much, not too little. This machine turned out awesome, I'll take some pics later too detail a few things, I'm extremely pleased the way it turned out. Very happy with the way gauges and mounting worked, also the custom rear cooler I added. Heading to the UP next Wed. More pics and details to follow. I need to get out and change oil and filter and wrap it up. Mike Knapp#17

What octane fuel and any timing changes. Is 12 lbs the limit for the fuel pump(stock or is there one in the kit). What size turbo comes with the kit.

92 octane pump fuel, No timing changes, no ignition and no cam timing changes. Jeff has a new turbo for the Apex. Very pleased in how it performs on Dyno. Very Awesome #'s indeed. Also forgot to mention the track is 1.25 ripsaw loaded with 180 studs, 136" long. That also factors into track #'s.

Thanks for the info. With 07 sled prices so low, it might be time to upgrade to a fuely. 265 on pump gas is awesome and a little race gas should get you close to 300. What a trail sled.

How many HPs are lost at the customs? hahaha!

How is it being supplied fuel? Does fuel volume taper off on a long pull?

Aux. elect fuel pump. No does not taper off. Pure Logic controller for fuel mgmt.

So you gonna put some trail miles on it?? I'd like to see 2000+ miles on it this winter!! Not sure what you will tell your wife!!

TRAIL miles...very important.

Great numbers Mike! Can't wait to get ours going also! Hopefully by the end of the weekend! Wouldn't you know that it'd snow and now we're swamped with local customer work! Can't wait to fire it up!

That is awsome. That would have to be a wicked ride. Especially since you are running over twice the stock track hp. Kind of like having a 300+ hp sled. lol. Have fun.

A few pics, note I also changed air filter to a K&N type. Also custom built gauge holder and rear cooler that takes no tunnel clearance.
