Well i bent my sub frame on the last ride of last year
So i decided to try and straighten it and but a Grizz attacks gusset kit in it so i pulled the sub frame out!
Then i thought maybe i should replace all the bushings in the front and i better pull the skid out and check it over!
Then i thought maybe i should check the exhaust doughnuts, so i pulled the seat and tank!
HOLY CRAP! All that's left is the tunnel and engine!
so now i am thinking maybe i should do some powder coating and cool stuff!

Yup, that's why a proper skid plate to protect the sump of the engine is imperative...........not the piece of plastic Yamaha installs.

Too funny...we shoud get Mr Sled to post the ratio of threads WITH engine tear downs disscussed to those that don't.
I be willing to say its way under 1%....and probably way over on AC Chat and DooTalk

My buddy was over looking at the sled and said "maybe you should have the engine rebuilt sense you have it so tore apart?" I said that the first valve check was at 30,000 miles! he said WHAT??? you mean 3,000 miles right? Nope. he could not believe me when i said people with 30K - 50K miles on these things
