What started out as cleaning up a few parts showing some corrosion from trailering, and a little paint work again, well.... it took a turn for the worst.
I thought I'd add a few powdercoated parts, and a little detail work and a polished tunnel..
My poor wife.. The BS I put her through...

Jeez, you started to clean up the sled after a rough year of trailering, and now it looks like this? You've got it bad, Nate. You're too deep right now to stop. It really helps to have an understanding wife.

I know what kind of job it is to strip off the paint on a tunnel, and it looks great so far. You know a guy is serious when he drills out the rivets on the tunnel. Keep us posted with some updates. I can't wait to see the finished product.

I've got a box full of parts fresh out of the blasting cabinet,(including the bulkhead) headed to Welterracer for some powdercoating, and then the plastics will be under the paint gun again for a fresh paint job.
I think I'm going to sell it when I'm done... I've got a new XTX sitting in the crate at the dealer now waiting for me..

LMAO....

Looks like one of my "cleaning" jobs. It starts with a set thing, then you see something else, then another, then........

Your project is looking good...

LOL tell me about it, it usually just happen like that, only going to do this or that and ends up with doing it all and everything.
I second the understanding wife .... just like you I'm in deep AGAIN. Whatever mod you may have thought of in the past, NOW is the time to do them.

I have a sickness too - take a look

LMFAO!!!! wow! that sled was awesome before! looks great! can't wait to see it when its done!

At least I found a cool website for printing exploded views of everything on the sled, so hopefully it helps to not have and nuts and bolts left over when its done!!

Brian

Thanks! I'm excited to see it finished. It was nice to meet you.

Thanks for all the hard work, Brian! I hope to post a few pics within the next day or so. I'm just waiting of a few dozen rivets, bearings, bushings, etc, etc, etc.... before I really tear into rebuilding.
I'll take pics tomorrow, and hopefully post tomorrow night! I have a few things mocked up, but nothing very permanent...

Now.... Where do all these pieces go??
