Need some help, 2014 Yamaha Sr Viper not starting back up, battery was not charging changed regulator still not charging so inspected stator and flywheel to discover they are both badly damaged from starter sprocket chipped off so I installed all new parts STATOR FLY WHEEL 1 WAY BEARING STARTER GEAR what is the proper way to install a flywheel I may have turned the crankshaft a few times while the fly wheel was off and messed up timing? Sled is emeddietly flooding strong smell of gas, when I play or turn the clutch with ignition and key on it sets off the fuel pump with every little move no codes

Fly wheel has a keyway it also does not determine timing on your sled. Try maybe it’s just flooded bad. Change the plugs.

Cannondale probably right. Plugs probably fouled from trying to start engine in past.
Does the sled start? During your repairs would you have turned the engine the opposite direction of normal rotation? If so these engines aren't meant to do that and can skip timing on the cam gears as the timing chain gets bunched up.

Does not start and I did not reverse rotate I will check spark plugs and my other guess is the flywheel keyway is not catching as I eye balled it when installing
Thanks guys
Thanks guys

Like I said the flywheel does not provide timing on this motor. Ignition pickup is on stubshaft behind primary clutch. I believe if you missed the key you would not have gotten cover on.Does not start and I did not reverse rotate I will check spark plugs and my other guess is the flywheel keyway is not catching as I eye balled it when installing
Thanks guys
