Hello,

I need help with my timing chain on my 2006 yamaha apex rtx.
To make a long story short, i am installing the cam shafts and the timing chain has somehow sliped off the lower gear on the crank.

Has this happened to anyone else? if so, what did you do to get the chain back on? I am having a heck of a time with this and the trails are finaly open in my area. Please help

:o|

Regards,
Chris

I think the only way to see the bottom gear is to remove the sump cover on the bottom of the engine. Normally you can get the chain back on the gear from the top. Remove the intake side chain guide and get a long led light so you can see down there.

Thank you

I was able to get the chain back on with some patents and a straight edge. Thank you for your input, i really appreciate it.
