Not sure if this has been mentioned....I didnt read back more than a few pages. I was told from someone I consider a reliable source.... AC is going to have a new chassis this year....yamaha is keeping the pro cross chassis...that will be "ours". The viper will be factory turbo.... LC pistons factory... and the heat treated rod failures from the 16's have been rectified.... how much boost is the question....as it will be in the cat too.
I know your talking about MY2017 but the video with the Yam and Cat higher ups from Snowtrax they say they are working together to develop a new chassis.

Bottom line is no make , brand , manufacturer or model will satisfy everyone. Each manufacturer tries their best to satisfy the masses of their brand followers and to attract new ones from competition.Maybe on the 2 stroke side of the forum, those numbers would be accurate. I think they are pretty lofty on this side.
Everyone has their own preferences. There is already a thread on Dootalk started on how disappointed on the 2017 line up and that they will not buy or leave the brand.
Similarly there are tons of raves about their new 2017 sleds.
That's the great thing with having competition and options as a customer.
We can choose what best suits an individual's needs and likes!
7 more sleeps until I can make any final decisions. I have to see what Yamaha comes out with then decide.

Just an fyi, all the motox bike manufacturers that still make 80cc 2 smokes are over 20 hp from 80cc. 10 extra hp for 50cc on a 2 smoke is no biggy.Yep, that's right they do. But I was referring to their 800cc motor, not their 850. For arguments sake, let's accept Doo's claimed hp ratings for each motor and consider what they were able to accomplish. They increased displacement by just over 3 cu. in. (50cc) and gained 10 hp. Can you show me a manufacturer building a 50cc motor making 10 hp?

I have a cpl .12cc motors (yes that's a decimal 1/8th of 1cc) for my RC cars that produce 1.5-1.8hp. I'm thinking they made bigger motor to cut back on how hard they had to push it to get more longevityYep, that's right they do. But I was referring to their 800cc motor, not their 850. Bingo, I just found a youtube video of a yz80 making 22hp, gotta figure the old yz 50 probably had the 10hp mark covered.Just an fyi, all the motox bike manufacturers that still make 80cc 2 smokes are over 20 hp from 80cc. 10 extra hp for 50cc on a 2 smoke is no biggy.
