75% of Yamaha guys would be doing hand stands and high fives if the new doo had a Yamaha sticker on the side of it........X2... They will sell more of those than that fn ugly duck face 850 they just released. Good thing they added an extra 50cc to squeeze an extra 3 HP out. Sux to be a Doo guy right now lol.

Maybe on the 2 stroke side of the forum, those numbers would be accurate. I think they are pretty lofty on this side.75% of Yamaha guys would be doing hand stands and high fives if the new doo had a Yamaha sticker on the side of it........

Don't laugh...I'm considering going back to a 2 stroke. The Doo 850, with the oil lubed crankshaft, are "supposed" to last a whole lot longer.

I think you have it wrong if it had Yamaha stickers 75% on doo scrap would say it was a piece of #*$&@,and if it was a Yamaha(Thank not) they would say as usual nothing good from Yamaha, and there new 850 proabaly will do 50 miles more than the scrap 800 before it blows75% of Yamaha guys would be doing hand stands and high fives if the new doo had a Yamaha sticker on the side of it........

I came back to Yamaha...just for the 4 stroke...I don't care if they are heavier, and don't ride or handle as nice.....my last two cats, and my last two doo's got towed..due to blown engines...You can talk until you are blue in the face about the new two stroke from ski-doo (cat or polaris for that matter)....and you'd never convince me to go back...I ride trails in the upper Midwest, rarely go off trail, and do not powder ride...so having a lightweight two stroke means squat to me. Reliability is most important to me...turn key and go....Yamaha is the best for that...and nobody else has even come close. You will never convince me that a two stroke is a better machine for an older trail veteran or high mileage rider

For Brp's sake they better hope those changes to lower end oiling and new piston design help that,
" diesel " like reliability and longevity. Lmao
I will be doing hand stands, while you sell lemonade.
Ski-doo has never claimed 163 hp from their 800R. That number came from an independent tester, not Doo. Doo rates the power of the 800 at 155. It might not seem like much, but not many 50cc motors make 10hp.Good thing they added an extra 50cc to squeeze an extra 3 HP out. Sux to be a Doo guy right now lol.

BRP rates the new lemonade stand motor at 165hp right on the site.

Not sure if this has been mentioned....I didnt read back more than a few pages. I was told from someone I consider a reliable source.... AC is going to have a new chassis this year....yamaha is keeping the pro cross chassis...that will be "ours". The viper will be factory turbo.... LC pistons factory... and the heat treated rod failures from the 16's have been rectified.... how much boost is the question....as it will be in the cat too.

I don't know why you just don't go to ski doo scrap every post on here and yamahablog is negative when I read posts that are negative and then look at who posted it 90% of the time it's you If your not happy just go and I will look forward to your posts on your new piece of scrap 850Don't laugh...I'm considering going back to a 2 stroke. Yep, that's right they do. But I was referring to their 800cc motor, not their 850. For arguments sake, let's accept Doo's claimed hp ratings for each motor and consider what they were able to accomplish. They increased displacement by just over 3 cu. in. (50cc) and gained 10 hp. Can you show me a manufacturer building a 50cc motor making 10 hp?BRP rates the new lemonade stand motor at 165hp right on the site.
