Actually the emissions standards were suppose to be ALOT stricter by this time, but Yamaha was the only one who made it so the gov't backed off some...

I don't know. That second video still shot doesn't look like the viper chassis at the rear but who knows. Hard to really see much. We'll all know in few days.

Well skidoo released there 2017 850cc video... Only 165hp I'm not to worried... I'm the type of person that I like every brand for what they offer and if I had the money I would have one of each. But if I'm going to spend 14k I want something that will last more that 5000 miles that's why I stay with Yamaha. I am not bashing any brand here and I really hope Yamaha brings something to the table that any person would want because they have the tech to do it. I also hope that they continue with Arctic cat because this chassis (viper) IMHO is light years ahead of my old apex. I was just thinking if Yamaha put the self learning suspension the new r1m has in a sled that would be really cool and something no one has done yet, but this is just me just thinking to myself. I also hope that the "you haven't seen anything yet" is not just reworked body panels and nothing else changed because that would be a huge downer... I think the rumor of a factory turbo is probably true just for the fact that Arctic cat is looking for something to replace the Suzuki turbo in there 9000. What ever it is I hope it is something that fits the bill of "you haven't seen anything yet".

now I can have more power and about 100 less pounds
You do realize the wet ready to ride weight is NOT EVEN CLOSE to 100lbs difference, right?!?!?! Its more like 35-40lbs dif Viper vs Doo in very similar models.

Wow, they shut it down! That was the detailed promo video for ski-doo's new 850 CC e-tech engine with a lot of action shots of the new sleds. Claiming improvements made all around: crankshaft, rave valves, pistons, intake, etc...10 more Hp. Let's hope if Yamaha actually comes out with a new 2-stroke that it can compete...Would be embarrassing to swallow their pride and bring back a 2-stroke only for it to be inferior to what the competition launched a few days earlier.
