I must say this is fun reading all this, and since I was bored I decided to google image search some random inputs and came across this. Its an artist rendering but still very cool lol..

So how long before the 850 Doo needs an engine rebuild ? When I looked on Craigs List before I bought my sled all the Doo's with any more than 3000 miles all were touting that the engine had new crank and pistons. What a great selling point. LOL. My Warrior has almost 11,000 miles and it still runs like new. I think I'll stick to 4 strokes. Unless if Yamaha makes a 2 stroke. I had Exciters, a SXR 700, a SRX 700, and a Viper 700. Those 2 strokes were awesome and trouble free for many miles.

I see so many left over Vipers out there while I'm looking for a XTX either Apex or RS Vector..Did they make too many?
No snow and tons of people holding off until March 1 to see if anything worth waiting for... If no changes of significance you will see them clear out fairly fast at a steal of a deal!

15lbs off for the T3 163 model. Maybe 60ish for an AXYS.

I'm all about the weight game and spending the time and $$ to get the right parts. I'm an even bigger fan of the mountain sleds. And seeing that I too will be goin to a 2 stroke mtn sled this next year, I keep up with as much as I can in regards to the brands I'm interested.

As much as I'd like a new light weight 100ish HP Phazer replacement I just don't think that goes along with "warning to the competition" and "Don't Blink" unless they somehow really have a lightweight 4 stroke on there hands. Hell, if they just refreshed the current Phazer with Nytro race geometry up front, dropped 35#, and bumped it to 100hp I'd be spring ordering. That would be the mythical 450# 4 stroke
It would need to have some more wind coverage, even more than the nytro. I'd like to get my wife on one but, she'd freeze to death.

Looks like a nytro with cat suspension, hmmmm now that's an idea. But I suppose all the purists would still call it a basterd child.

Some people are saying that they won't buy a Yamaha until it is built in Japan. It was my understanding that Yamaha is looking to move production to North America to cut costs and be able to respond to production changes more quickly.

I had a Phazer GT and it was surprisingly warm to ride.

I think the car industry has proved that they (Japan companies ) can move manufacturing to the west and still get a solid quality result. Most Japan manufactures of vehicles have them built here under their strick guidelines and protocol. Pretty dam close to what u would get right outta Japan origin ...

Has anyone seen any motors 4stroke? That have the power and torque curve of the current sled motors. The newest motors they have in the fz bikes are way underpowered to be the new hype in sleds. 250cc.? Phazer replacement.

Also to add to this. Yamaha had a press release on new snowmobiles and new engines in the next five years. Does that mean they are ahead of the schedule and are releasing new this year or will we have to wait another year for the 2018 50th?

don't blink or you will miss the disappointment again and even if they come out with an awesome new sled I wont buy one until they fix their parts problem. If my sled breaks in this short season I want parts within three days max. Im not waiting for months for backordered parts.

Well guys guess the rumors are true, They will look like cats. Here is a pick from Island park today. Looks like Cat mixed their 2011 front end with the 2016 geometry IMO to lower the Yamaha motor, and fit the extra cooling the Yamaha needed
