with a jet ski you have unlimited cooling with the water, just like boats. most engines that are in cars as well as boats, the the same boat engines usually always have more power just due to unlimited cooling.i think yamaha can put 300hp or more into a jet ski with no problem so why not a sled, they would just have to keep weight up there to keep it on the snow lol !!!

All of the Yamaha engines are great. But in a sled you either break the 150ish hp barrier with rpm or compression. Can't do it with displacement (weight and size). So it's either 12k rpm (Apex), a S/C, or turbocharging. With power being equal turbos rank #3 for reliability, response, and sound. I'd pick my N/A XTX along with the S/C Nytro (Stage I) I've rode, over the turbo Viper I had seat time on last season. And Yamaha is an engine builder first.
There's more too motor building than just rpm and compression, see Hurricanes N/A Apex. If Yamaha doesn't deliver the goods, I know where I am taking my brand new Apex, too get it.

Yes. I understand that 1 picture looks like that.
What i am saying is no other picture even comes close to resembling that pattern.
3000 pics and only 1 match.
Seems odd to me

They say the competitors will be in the snow dust.. I wonder did they realize Doo was working on a 850cc etec with 180 horsepower? I love my Viper but i only bought it because I wanted more power.. now I can have more power and about 100 less pounds, plus other deep snow riding enhancements... Yamaha better rock the world I they want to keep me. It would be nice if there was a little more difference from a mountain sled to a trail other than width and trac too.
How long will that motor last, LMAO. Good luck with that.

At this point we shouldn't rule out an axial piston rotary engine contained within the driveshaft.

I think the sidewinder is the bike. One single track, looks like a caterpillar track, no skis outside the track. If anything else exists that's new I think it will have a name we have heard before. SRX, Apex, Bravo. I think bravo might be it. Just screams handling and performance to me. Or some sort of Harley name like fx-viper-ltx-dx-ultra-springer-yz

If it has 4 year warranty, then long enough.
You think the Yamacat is so high and mighty because it has an underpowered reliable engine that costs 5 grand to be respectable. (turbo) im tired of the lack of quality and fit and finish. I have personally seen Summit 800s go into 8-10 000 kms... thats fine by me.

Take it easy man, your going to blow a tuning fork. The Viper is not underpowered for its class, which is 600 cc since you are so uninformed. Now I would be more than happy to line up the King against that 850 anyday, since your so convinced on that Brp all I can say is enjoy your lemonade stand. Lol
