I'm still betting a modified vector motor with the MPI, and Mitsubishi turbo combo. Extra cooling in that new nose design to make the turbo more bullet proof from the factory. I know Cat tried to come up with their own boosted Yamaha motor a couple years back as a test, but that seems to have fallen by the way side. Took several 7000 models over to their R&D turbo area to screw with, and will still end up probably having our Yamaha full setup.

Does everyone forget the apex is a strict r1 race motor in a sled..you do understand the new r1 crossplane motor is 200hp...this will be in a sled 2018,SRX VMAX?last years crossplane was 180hp

Keep dreaming, if they wanted a cross plane in a sled it would have been designed for it already. They are trying to separate the street from the snow. Did you ever see a Genesis in a bike?

Genesis was in the Ow 01, Fzr 750, 1000 allredy in 1987.
Nothing new there.
