New sled seems amazing! BUT, leave it to Yamaha to put out the WORST promo videos EVER!!!
Seriously watching the videos you'd swear they were trying to sell sleds to Willy Nelson.
Guess we will see if this new engine dishes it out! 180 real hp, box stock is AWESOME!

Isn't it coming a Sidewinder MT-X 153 LE ?!?!?! That was a crappy mountain lineup...
Hmmmm, a lot of new beefed components here.... could we be testing them for an Apex model factory turbo next year?

So what about the new 540 2 stroke? Whats the HP?
Why not use the 2015 viper motor and turbo that? Wouldn't that have been more HP?

Did anyone else notice that Sidewinder destroying the Apex in the testimonial video ? Thats got to be killer fast cuz them Apexs are no joke. I had to rewind it and wow it slayed it off the line and the Apex never gained ground on it and it just kept pulling away. My old Apex pulled like a freight train , and I never had a stock sled walk away from me like that one did in the video. That new sled has got to be pretty stout to send a new Apex to the back of the bus like that..

Sure but the Apex doesn't need this glowing thing to make it go fast.

Im betting next year new apex platform with 200hp motor. 50th anniversary will have something big. This a test on sales, reliability and functionality IMO
Or will the SRX name make a return for the 50th?!?!

There is a cc restriction on side by side engines. They must be under 1000 cc. Yamaha didn't do all this engineering to only use this in a sled. This motor will be making a showing in a cat and Yamaha sxs.

IMO Yamaha is done building sleds. They have had since 2007 to make a new Apex. IMO the writing is on the wall.
`` We (I) hope that the Sidewinder has what it takes to move our 4-cylinder Apex faithful. `` The Apex will be history next year!

If that's an honest dragrace between a stock Apex and a stock 'Winder with both pilots pulling the whole trigger, the 'Winder's probably going to succeed in both the lake racer versions as well as the mountain versions. A lot of Apex owners, me included, would probably sacrifice the EPS for a 'Winder if the funds are there. I do love my Apex, however i do want better stand up ergonomics when i'm blazing a rough trail. All things considered, my belief is that a lot of Apex owners have held on precisely because of the motor! There hasn't been anything quite like the four-holer and the four-holer meant keeping the Apex. If the new turbo 998 really spanks the Apex from idle to top end like it seems, that's really a selling point, at least for me.Did anyone else notice that Sidewinder destroying the Apex in the testimonial video ? My local Yamaha dealer happens to be the best dealer i've ever dealt with, in fact the current owner of my dealership is the swedish dealer featured in the Yamaha dealer reaction video.
