New Camso Track. thoughts??

As others have said, I would be curious how traction performs drag racing on trail hard pack, no ice. Sure it has more paddles but it seams lug height always wins in traction as long as rubber is hard enough not to bend. In this case the ice storm would win at 1.5?

Found this. I wonder how soft the conditions was.

Can't wait to try mine out, it'll have to wait until after the new year though. Love seeing reports from others.

Found this from today:

Looks a lot like a ice attak xt

Traction on hardpack or ice is nothing like prior ice technology tracks I can testify.

How is the track in powder? Very interested in this track!

Better than a Ripsaw II 1.25”, but not as good as the Ripsaw II 1.5”. Maybe not quite what the 1.352” Cobra was doing, but it makes sense being a stiffer lug.

900+ mile trail report! We had it all this past week, single digits with hard pack trail to low 30's and very soft trail conditions and everything in between. I will say first that I did not find a condition that this track didn't like. It hooked up so well on every type of snow condition. For those that like to kick the rear end out....prolly not the track for you, not easy to do with this track. Encountered some Icey corners close to Grand Marais, it was like the ice wasn't even there except I could see it. Got a chance to see how it preformed on a plowed county road....wowzah! she really hooks up hard and tested the braking here as well, it did really well but hard to say it was any better than a studded track. Overall I loved it a lot. This was an interesting stat, everyone I was riding with were running Ripsaw 2 1.25" with 96 studs down the middle. We ran the same everything all week and they logged over 37 miles more than I did.

I really like mine. So far only 500km with it. And like you said, it hook really well in any stuff. Great track!

I put 500+ miles on my SRX (240 HP Hauck tuned/clutched and non-power steering) with the Arrowhead track this last week in the U.P. where we saw just about every snow/trail condition possible during the week. As Denny reported it worked very well in all conditions except for on a glare ice corner under braking where I think a studded track might work a bit better. Overall, it handled the power and acceleration of my SRX and did a great job of braking with the exception being the icy corner I mentioned. I am comparing this track to the Ripsaw 2 track with 96 studs down the center I had on my Viper and the Ice Storm I now have on my Viper (Just bought the SRX so my Viper is now the backup sled). As for howling noise it was like any other none pre-studded track and much quitter than the Ice Storm track in my Viper.

Some good reports! Sounds like this track is a winner. I just ordered one myself. For top speed, how is this comparing to a rip2 1.25 with studs?

I got to 107MPH pretty quickly with my SRX and had throttle left but no room left to let'er keep eatin'

Are you saying that their standard studs caused the gauge to show 37 more miles than your sled with an Arrowhead track? If so, that seems fishy to me.

Meaning they were spinning that much more was how I read it.

I don't know if I believe that unless they use the throttle in a much different way.

Nothing fishy about it at all. Track spin is all it is. Prior to this year I also ran a Rip 2, my sleds trip gauge always had way more than my GPS had. I just pulled up my GPS trip gauge and its only a couple of miles difference than my sled gauge. Sled had 902 for the trip and GPS had 898 for the trip.

Believe what you want, these are hard facts. No BS, the comparison was made on my brothers sled who rides just like I do. We are not throttle jockeys but were not slow either. Our moving average for this 900 mile run was 45.6 MPH.
