Right on. So you don't see Any extra inherit problems with this? In a sense of snowmobiles follow the automotive world. Turbo chargers and superchargers go hand in hand with air to air inner coolers Since probably the 60s. Seemingly the most efficient way to keep things cool, And in a sport exclusively ridden in freezing temperatures which adds in that fact.
In all that you know , You think going to water meth injection is a better answer then The reliable, time tested system of air to air? Nah..... I'm not having any of it.
Air to air with meth injection option. Now I'm in. Lol
Nope
I do see a problem with the 998 air to air on the trail
Usually packed full of snow with a void and no air movement
Dumb design
All stuff to improve upon

So....seems as though you guys are willing to trade meth/water injection for an air to air intercooler. Cuz that's what's happening. Pump takes a dump, injection issues, etc. Well the good news is you still have 165 on tap. Lol.
Hmmm. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me?!?!
Surprised you guys are even falling for it. Whatever
This meth injection is misrepresented in the statement during the reveal, it's strictly a way to control detonation at WOT, how it was described was misleading in a sort.... It was stated that it cools the IAT.... There is not enough residence to quench through evaporation in that intake tube and throttle body.... Since it is only active on WOT indicates it is not a progressive injection with meter.... Very basic solenoid valve with a pump and calculated nozzle.... Most likely the WG control allows "X" psi increase at WOT at which meth injection is active to suppress detonation.
The TPS scaling is most likely 0-5V and they probably set it for 4.75V activation. Highly unlikely that the fuel map compensates for the injection which will cause a cold rich condition. I will not be surprised for reports of many fouled plugs. Unlike Polaris, BRP wants to keep engine replacements as low as possible....

Last case of boost juice i bought from summit racing was 40 bucks for 4 gallons, ( meth injection juice).

I wrote this on another thread about the Meth injection in the general forum.

I put Meth injection on my old Turbo Z1. It wouldn't last a hundred miles on the trail/lake with a gallon tank!
Not good to rely on Meth to cool a turbo snowmobile IMO.

When I heard Doo was going to do this from the factory I couldn't believe it, but if they're waiting to inject till 12 seconds into a full pull I guess it'd last forever. We dont have many trails here were I can pull 12 seconds at WFO on my Winder but I'm making way more power than a stock 850 turbo too! At 12 seconds into WFO on my Winder, I'm already in to track blowing danger zone too.....

The water/meth is cool. But good luck to whoever tunes these sleds.

For what it’s worth, a buddy of mine has a Mach Z he rode last year, this season he’s on a 23 SRX with power steering. I asked where the Mach was, his response “that sled is #*$&@ compared to this yamaha,”

I ran progressive meth setups on 1100 Turbo’s for years and you’d easily get 4-5 tank fulls fuel to tank of windshield washer fluid which Is llocally around $4 a gallon . Quite a few 998 running around with same system

They only get packed with snow following someone. Thats not supposed to happen...lol.
Calls himself "trailleader, yet his intercooler is getting packed with snow. Something's not adding up?!?!
Maybe there is one available with two compartments, one for meth and one for oil.
Working on it now. 4gals of each. I'm calling it "the stack pack"
Going to add an optional pull down grille for trailside weenies.

I always have 998s behind me
I didn’t say it was mine! Lol
The doo turbo is smaller than the poo so they maintain hp after 12 seconds is my guess
The ecu protection is actually amazing in these
These will be fine to tune and progressive setup will be the ticket

Right , there will be a LINQ METH tank. Will it be the good 99% percent pure METH that's blue in color?
Skidoo is Breaking Bad....
